Maybe I'm reading this all wrong but let's look at what Bungie is saying about the Hungering Blade thing. The following is taken directly from the patch notes: Changes to Hungering Blade:* • Immediately starts Health regen • Restores more Health per kill • Gives a flat amount of Health/Shield per activation • Does not immediately start regenerating Shields * Hungering Blade changes were also inadvertently applied to the following Perks: check this post • Transfusion (Striker Titan) • Cauterize (Sunbreaker Titan) • Lifesteal (Voidwalker Warlock) • Red Death Perk • Suros Legacy Perk (Suros Regime) • No Backup Plans • Ward of Dawn cast • The Ram • Apotheosis Veil • Embrace the Void (Voidwalker Warlock) Follow me here – the Hungering Blade change impacts the SHIELD regeneration portion of the perk, placing emphasis on HEALTH FIRST, then shield regeneration. So, if I’m reading that correctly, this change might actually HELP most of the listed perks, armor, and weapons on that list (EXCEPT No Backup Plans and possibly Ward Of Dawn). If the perk/armor/weapon doesn’t affect shield regeneration, the change should actually be a benefit to the item or perk. For example: The Suros Legacy Perk reads: “The bottom half of each magazine deals bonus damage and has a chance to return health on kill.” Now look at the changes to Hungering Blade: “Restores more health per kill.” That looks like a ‘win’ for the Suros Regime to me. Now go down that list and see how the Hungering Blade changes impact the listed perks, weapons and armor. The sky might not be falling. The sun might actually be shining more brightly. Or am I reading this all wrong? Regardless, change in life is the only constant. When things stop changing, growing, evolving, it's usually a good indicator they're dead. Destiny is still and always will be an awesome experience. It's just a little different than it was yesterday. So am I (thank goodness). Give it a chance, gang. Test it. Look, there was some very GOOD things in this change as well as things you don't like. It will grow and change again.

  • Well that health regeneration on the regime was effected by the hungering blade nerf. Plus .. no help to shields means fast death. Especially at the hands of a newly buffed hand cannon or fast shooting auto rifle. Makes a blade dancers super feel more vulnerable than it already was.

Well half of those perks already work on cool down. Hungering blade procs every time, all the time. If things like cauterize/life steal worked like that, it wouldn't be such an issue. Cool down or partial health regen is fine, but not both!
