Crucible lead probably thought it was a fusion rifle
-
So what your post is saying then is to nerf sidearms?
-
Josh Hamrick was fighting a Bladedancer one day and he Blinked out of sight. And Josh was like, "NO FAIR!". Shortly afterwards he made it his personal mission to destroy the Bladedancer class, perk by perk.

Edited by Nemesis XX: 2/15/2017 4:44:27 PMI'm a warlock that uses blink and frankly it was a dying art before the nerf. Now they've taken the only thing in the jump that gives me spatial orientation?! I can't even see enemies in tense PvE situations?! Blink is difficult to time and measure, plus we only get two and our legs turn into useless nubs, not to mention all the height limitations on climbing puzzles. Now I can't see where I am for an overly extensive time EVERY time I jump?! I'm no hunter, but for God sake Bungie, put back the radar, that change reduces blink to uselessness and destroys what was a unique feature to Destiny. **note: my main is warlock despite all 3 400's
-
Just think of it as Bungie clearing your HUD for you so you can montage people with minimal editing. In that split second, your screen is clear.
-
This particular patch literally made me delete destiny. I've been playing since year 1 and I'm a blink player. Even when blink was good I never thought it was OP and I play at a competitive level. Then they decide to make it useless and literally unusable in any competitive environment. I actually believed it was going to get buffed at some point because of how useless it became. Then they decide to just completely butcher it and now you may as well just take it out of the game. Like who's idea was this?

Bioware's new game is sounding really good right now.....Gets better every update Destiny gets.
-
the one move that makes this game unique. They nerf it into the ground. Take off recovery then they take off your radar oh yeah they took off the cooldown are pulling your shotgun next will shorten the blink distance time
-
Because its Annoying to fight players who Blink. Doesn't matter if it's actually OP or not, 'annoying' is enough reason to nerf for Bungie - former Sunsinger
-
Because what the SANDBOX team finds "annoying" must be ruined. /Looks sadly at sunsingers.
-
They are systematically deleting all of the voidwalker and bladedancer players in the game. The lifesteal perks on both classes got nerfed too this update. Coincidence? I think not.
-
Because it recovered so slowly that players could no longer use it aggressively, so they decided they would take your radar and hud away to compensate for that. Wait...
-
Blink was easily a problem from the start and has always been an issue that it allowed a player to teleporting away from what would normally be a death. I have no issue with the radar removal but do feel that blink distance should be increased to match a standard triple jump to balance.

Edited by Kazama, Toa of Gravity: 2/15/2017 9:03:17 AMThey nerf blink but didnt buff the Blink Warlock Helmet....dumb move.
-
Blink is literally my favorite ability in this game. My new favorite ability I only had to use once. It's called Uninstall Destiny...
-
Because Bungie has a garbage crucible balancing team.
-
It's -blam!-ing awful. I'm blind half the time now. I use it on my voidwalker. Do it lose ur radar if u shadestep n Titan dodge?
-
Edited by blade329: 2/15/2017 4:12:04 PMWell, it seems that the playtest team at Bungie didn't like getting killed by it. They made the very same mistake these whiny Trials of Osiris players make. Knee jerk emotional reaction without any thought to the bigger picture. That's how I see it.
-
Thank you all for the comments! I'm seeing all perspectives about this nerf- please, feel free to keep commenting
-
Who knows. I thought blink was suppose to be an evade move like shadestep but I guess bungie wants it to be more like a jump. I guess I will have to start using shadestep.
-
I'm still honestly so confused.
-
Honestly wondering the same about all Blade dancer changes, it truly does seem that someone in the sandbox team has it in for players that excel in that subclass (krafty, for example). Totally uncalled for.
-
Because it wasn't useless enough in PVE yet.
-
Bungo wanted locks and hunts to feel the titans pain..
-
Probably giving the warlock blink helmet a new perk: "Astrocyte Verse": Hud and Radar remain active while blinking. This is bungies way of repairing stuff: Nerf something and give you a perk to undo the nerf.... but still wasting an equipment slot ... way 2 go ...
