Dear Bungie.
As a loyal fan of Destiny, ever since the Beta was launched, I have never, ever been as disappointed as I am right now. When you told the stream that you would be changing special ammo for the Crucible, I (as well as many people) said that this would be the last week I would enjoy playing Crucible for quite some time. Over the course of that following week, I got used to the idea of playing with sidearms such as the Trespasser. I thoguht that I was going to get through this tough Crucible. The Weapon changes had been discussed to death by Patrick Casey and the Community Podcast, until I got to the point of living with that too.
Are there things that are..."acceptable" (and that's using the worst word for it) in this patch? Sure. Young Wolf's Howl needed the ammo change. Did Truth? Tell me, what was the logic behind that, because I sure don't get it. On another note, I am willing to accept the slower reload speed and magazine reduction on my Universal Remote, but why to 3? It makes the super-aggro approach of shotgunning even more pathetic after the shotgun nerfs. Persoanlly, I felt that if the reduction was from 5 -> 4, it would have been much more appropriate.
Blink? No. Blink was not the problem. Now making my Memory of Gheleon useless after I Blink? Thanks for another mistake. The only thing I can imagine being the reason to ruin Blink would be if a large group of Titans complained that they don't have Blink.
Now onto your biggest mistake so far. I will call it "The Hungering Blade Glitch."
Now, I main a Warlock and I have been one of the first people (admittedly among my friends and not on your forums) to advocate for an Amplitude nerf. Since Year 1, the answer to Hungering Blade was Thorn, and when you brought the Matador 64 back, that was the Year 3 answer. What was the answer to Year 2 (pre-patch) Sunbreakers? Nothing. You ran away. If I didn't have the Matador 64 in Year 3, and I was facing an Arcblade, I ran away.
I can't imagine that this nerf was only meant to affect the Hunters, as Sunbreaker Titans that used Cauterize (pre-patch) would get the same treatment. A kill would completely heal you. That was it. Unless you specifically meant to nerf all the other health-gain perks (especially my Embrace the Void) there would have been no issue. Josh Hamrick, your Sandbox designer, felt that it would have been a much better job to push a buggy patch live instead of fixing the problem: "While we considered delaying the hotfix to remove the shared change, we ultimately decided to live with the patch we'd made and tested. We believe that Hotfix 2.5.0.2 is an important step forward to maintain the health of the game and that getting it out to you ASAP is in everyone's best interest. And besides, no one wants to show up empty handed on Valentine's day" (this quote found here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/222240682 ). The statement that this patch went live, with it's bug, was "in everyone's interest," is the mistake here.
This community likes what you do, partly because you are known for listening to this community. Having said that, I feel that you lied to our faces. You rushed this patch. You didn't complete your work and now you're passing it on to us as if this is some great thing that you all feel accomplished about. You should not. Absolutely not. I was there for the Special Ammo drought of 2016. I can get through this special ammo fix. What I will not do, is pretend that everything is okay when you have forced me to change my style of play for all three of my Guardians. I can't gain health anymore. Why use those things when I can't get my health back? Are you trying to force us to use other perk combinations? Are you trying to force Hunters towards anything but Arcblade? Are you trying to get the Warlock portion of the community to throw less Scatter Grenades? Are you trying to get Titans to have decreased Grenade and Melee recharge times as I will be switching from Cauterize to Simmering Flames? What was your goal? It certainly wasn't to fix Hungering Blade, as you bugged every other life gain perk in the game.
I will be playing to get my weekly items, and I will return to your old game franchise, Halo, to get my futuristic shooter fix.
I'll check back once a day (maybe to also do the Daily Missions) to see when you intend to fix this.

P. S. Yes, I am salty that you screwed up. Yes I am mad. Eventually I will apoligize to you, but today is not that day. Have a good week.
