In this video I talk about some PC news about Steam! Valve is getting rid of Steam Greenlight!?! Is this a good thing? Please, enjoy! (:

I think it's probably a good thing. Quite a few of the games published through greenlight are too low of a quality to be worth whatever prices they are given. The amount of shovel ware just being passed through has drawn comparisons to the great gaming crash. Taking down greenlight should mean better quality control for the Steam.

Yes. Games have been rotting in green light since 2013, then someone happens to get that last vote in and bam a shitty game is on the market that took 3 years to get the necessary votes.
-
Yes, the system in general just allowed people with pieces of shit to pollute the steam catalog

I voted yes and saw that it was tied with the bottom option. Steam Greenlight is a system through which indie devs can get their games onto the Steam Store. Getting rid of the Greenlight system is something a lot of people have been waiting for. Greenlight was originally meant to help indie devs get their games onto Steam but it's become a cesspool of absolute trash. There are gems to be found of course, but you have to dig through the trash to find it.

Bump, anyone? (:
