Oh, boy, another religious post made by an obnoxious Atheist! Is this suicidal? Probably.
Is there any evidence of Jesus being alive? I'd like to know. Saying faith isn't allowed. Faith≠evidence.

2 RepliesEdited by The Cellar Door: 2/8/2017 8:54:31 PMDid you seriously watch a 25 minute video about atheism just to reaffirm your own beliefs? Lol... As for the topic at hand, there is no physical evidence of Jesus himself. As in, there is no body. But, that shouldn't be expected either given how long it has been. However, we do know much about history through artifacts, which is essentially the goal of archeology. There are numerous artifacts which imply the existence of Jesus, which date back to around the first century. Mostly writings and inscriptions. His prominence was really only widely known after the emergence of Christianity, so there was not necessarily any reason for many people to explicitly document his existence during his life. Are these conclusive in a strictly "scientific" context. No. Are they, however, suggestive? Yes. We learn about our history through a lens which has been provided to us by our predecessors. We may not decide whether that lens shows us the truth or hides it; we may only make logical inferences from what we are presented with. In short, there can not and will not be a definitive answer to your question due to the nature of history, unless we find physical evidence of existence, but until then, it remains speculative. As in, "no, he absolutely did not exist," is a strictly incorrect answer.

2 RepliesIs there evidence of Jesus being alive? Yes. Is there evidence of his being the son of a virgin and being resurrected after death? No. There was a man named Jesus, but there is no evidence of any biblical ties to him.
