Ideas for Sunsinger

In my opinion, to put it bluntly, sunsinger really sucks right now. I was thinking about a few perks that have some potential to differentiate the subclass from the rest, while not returning it to its days of dominating the crucible. 1. Song of flame really is quite useless, unless supers were effected by it. The perk reads "While active, Radiance decreases all cooldowns for nearby allies." I would think that would effect allies' super, as your super is on a cooldown. If this is not implemented, then scrap the idea of cooldown reduction altogether and instead try something much different. Everyone has head of the warlock exotic Tlaloc, right? Its overflow perk increases the stability and rate of fire of the weapon. Song of flame should do this same thing for allies near a sunsigner in radiance, as well as the sunsinger themselves. This way it would benefit the one running the perk in pvp, but also be helpful for increasing boss dps in pve. 2. Bungie might have a problem with the term all. Radiance reads "dramatically increasing the effectiveness of all your abilities." Well, sunsigners unlock glide as they level up. It is in the skill tree itself. It is suppressed when hit by a defender suppression grenade. Wouldn't this lead us to believe that glide...is an ability? Apparently not, as radiance doesn't effect it. However, it should. When a sunsinger is in radiance, glide should last longer and/or carry them faster through the air. This would not only make the sunsinger much more mobile and able to chase down their targets, but also be less prone to being teamshot. 3. Change viking's funeral. VF is virtually useless in pvp. The only time someone is going to reach three stacks is if the person in radiance is either using fusion grenades very poorly and barely hitting someone with the edge of the explosion, or fighting another guardian in their super, both of which are very situational. Even if one of these instances occur, an extra 15% damage buff for less than 2.5 seconds is very very useless, and even more so with the 5% buff provided by only one grenade hitting. At least make the full 15% be applied with one grenade, or let subsequent grenades refresh the burn duration so that it wouldn't immediately disappear, or make each stack worth more, or at least do SOMETHING to make this perk remotely useful in the crucible. For pve, VF has its times to shine, but is overshadowed by both tether and WoL. They apply more of a debuff/buff, and allow the user to shoot at the same time. Also, the only way to get and keep three stacks of VF is with fusion grenades because they apply it twice with a stick, as it will drop a stack with any other kind of other grenade before the third one hits. 4. Change sunburst. Bungie didn't have a problem with completely changing VF, so why not sunburst as well? The perk is overshadowed easily by Gift of Light (I think that's what the perk is called, its the one where anything they kill while they have force barrier generates an orb.) on defenders. An idea I have for it is that any enemy you kill while burning explodes, and applies burn to other enemies around it. Possibly just a worse version of bloom, but it applies burn as well, so maybe worth it...At least do something. 5. Make an exotic boot item that grants Angel of Light. The perk is barely useful by itself, but it is really fun. (To tell the truth, I would sacrifice my HoTPF or Starfire to wear those boots just for the surprise and entertainment factor.) The perk is used even less because of the fantastic alternatives in the same skill tree: touch of flame and gift of the sun. I know that this exotic would be very similar to Empyrean Bellicose, but it would only work for sunsingers, and not all warlock subclasses. Because of this drawback it could maybe amplify the perk a little bit, like extending duration of hover or allowing strafing while hovering. Tell me what you think!
