PvP and PvE players, i'm curious So far almost every posts here are about: How much better destiny would be without pvp Pve is the focus of destiny PvP is dragging destiny back I'm just curious if the PvP community is really so small in destiny I'm pretty sure there a lot of players (like me) who prefer PvP over PvE If destiny had a decent history or less repetitive stuff i would love PvE, but PvE in destiny is just to easy and boring to me Although the really nice actual weapon balance, i find this game morr consistent than the other shooter and a lot more fun to play I would love to hear your feedback and why do you guys choose PvE over PvP

  • I mostly play for PvP and an occasional Raid, but if someone asked which one I would have removed, I'd say PvP. I feel like this game should've been PvE-Focused. At least they should've separated PvP from PvE. PvP seems to have too much of a say in what I fell like should've been a PvE game.
My opinion, of course.
If Bungie came to me and said. "We are going to drop either PvE or PvP because we no longer want to do both. Please choose which one we focus on." I would say to "stick with PvE" and "bye bye" to PvP. I was never a "FPS shooter" kind of guy, but the RPG elements that Destiny has, brought me around to enjoying the Destiny type of FPS shooter. If Destiny decided to just focus on PvP. I would no longer play it. However, I do not feel that PvP holds the game back. I enjoy the PvP...in small doses

Not going to lie, I'm a god at PvE and PvP (Most of the times, sometimes I just derp) But I'm leaning towards PvE! 🤗 I practice my snipes on vandals and dregs, and practice my air shots against shanks. ~TheGreatNike

  • PVE is great for unique game play and story. I love destiny pve. However, pvp is what keeps me playing games and destiny pvp is a blast. Even with all the issues it's still the best game I've ever played...PVE and pvp. Although skyrim is pretty damn good

I play both. I have mastered all the raids and have everything that is worth grinding for in the game except maybe a god roll Imago loop! The main issue is there is nothing left to play for and the PVE content is sooo dry right now. I do the raids for the nanopheonix but the drop rate is so stupidly low that even that has got a bit boring - at least the icebreaker dropped within 3 weeks for me. No nanopheonix after 40 raid completions - WTF! I play PVP quite a bit but the current shotgun dominance will hopefully get addressed. Buffing TTK for primaries would be a great start. If destiny 2 doesnt have dedicated servers then that will be a major downer as the lag makes it often unplayable. Don't get me started on trials :P

  • Pve is always my priority content in any game but at some point when I made my rounds I turn to pvp for continous entertainment. I like them both evenly. Destiny pve got me to love Destiny and pvp got me to perfect my craft as a guardian lol. I honestly couldnt choose between the 2 and I think they are both equally important to the success of Destiny and most fps games.

  • PvE is boring and takes up more time to actually commit to. for example, it takes about 9 strikes to rank up with the vanguard if you are using a vanguard cloak and booster, which is like 2 hours. and the packages are the only thing strikes are really good for unless you're grinding a strike specific item but that depends on what strike you get. so basically, the reward for two hours of boring grind is an rng package that you probably won't get what you want from. on the other hand if you do 2ish hours of crucible pubs, it can be a lot more fun at least for me. im pretty good at the game so i can enjoy myself but i like a good game now and then, and the satisfaction of hitting a mental snipe or clip or out primarying a clever dragon user with my eyasluna from like 30m away is much more than the satisfaction of getting a comedian or a swarm after hours of grinding.

  • Initially I played PVE, Nighfall and Heroic Stikes. Went into a couple of Crucible matches and instantly disliked it as i got killed in seconds most of the time. Year one Moments Of Triumph required you to go into The Crucible to complete a section of it. Since then I've never looked back. I play way more pvp than pve but wow, Destiny PVP is in a bad place right now in my opinion. This week in Crucible the game has been an absolute disgrace as far as damage is concerned. This 'Damage Switch' where your gameplay is switched from playing 'normally' to being unable to deal the 'normal' amount of damage and receiving higher than normal damage is ludicrous.

  • Let me put it this way. I would consider myself a pvp player, as I liked pvp more. But the bad balancing keeps me in pve. I was nasty in year 1 pvp lol and the year 1 raids omfg... I hope they bring them back. Untouched.

    • PvE is always my first choice, but no denying that each side has its fans and problems. PvE has content issues, while PvP Crucible is a constant balancing act of nerfs and weapon adjustments. I wish weapon balancing could be kept separate. I don't need my guns to be kept the same in both versions. This is probably the single most polarizing issue affecting the PvP and PvE fans. Skill, tactics, and internet connection in PvP will win out over weapon balancing anyway. Let the PvE players have some godlike weapons that are only killing AI opponents anyway.

Destiny should have both... I'd like a set load out playlist for PVP where every person spawns in with the same randomized load out, 1 Exotic weapon and 2 Legendary weapons, fully levelled up with the same perks... I feel that's the best way to get some kind of balance in this games PVP. Your abilities and armour loadout stay unique to your choosing.

    • PvE all the way here. The only way you can balance PvP in Destiny without making everything useless is to have set weapons and armor sets for PvP only which leaves everything else untouched for PvE.

    • I would have to say pvp. Pve just gets so boring doing the same strikes the same raids omg i cant think of anthing worse. At least the is some variety in pvp different i mean dont get me wrong i say some in a literall term. Different players are a lot harder to kill than the same ads in the same room in the same place of the strike. I just find the lack of pve content makes it terribly boring
