31 January 2017 is how we would right it in the military back in the day. No ambiguity
i liked to add the year of our Lord in the middle of it
-
I typically say month, day, year October 15, 1990

Edited by eStorm74: 1/31/2017 12:10:03 AMDay. Month. Year. DD/MM/YYYY 31/01/17 (UK date. You Americans will be behind at the moment.) Simple.
Polare! Yes, tell me, my friends. Do you know the meaning of inspirisati? For, a feeling as fortuitous as this is onerous to discover.
Day then month (then year). If I were to write it, today is: 30 January 2017. Depending on how much space I have or the purpose, it could be abbreviated to 30 Jan. '17 or not even bother with the year if for a class notebook, excluding the first date.

18 RepliesDay, month, year. Smallest to biggest is the only logical way.
-
1 ReplyDay month year. Americans use the other one because they're lazy to say 24th of april.
-
I have the phlosophy of saving ing the best for last. In other terms. DD/MM/YEAR. It's like growing up. Day - baby. Month - Teen. Year - Adault. Allthough having said that being the last one, isn't really all that great. Meh.

1 ReplyAs an American, I think Europe has this one figured out a little better.

I always liked Dinner/Movie/Wild Sex.

The logical one
-
MM/DD/YYYY Because it's the format in which I grew-up learning. What about you OP?

2 RepliesD,M,Y in chronological, logical order
-
2 RepliesThe first one because it's how you say it but in number form. We say January 29 2017 (1/29/17) not 29 January 2017 (29/1/17). So the first one makes more sense
-
1 ReplyDay month year. It s ascending from the shortest time period to the longest one. Logical

Because start with the least significant number.

NA>EU

We say MM/DD/YYYY so that one in writing is better.

7 RepliesHaving the month first is more descriptive. Within a year, it's easier to organize by the month. If you're sorting through files or whatever, it's way easier to organize by date if the month is first. Starting with day is just silly. It's too nondescript.
-
2 RepliesThe second one makes more logical sense, but the first one is what I'm used to. I don't know what Idiot would use the last one.
