Every time I read a new Ashen Conflux lore post, it becomes more and more clear to me that you guys have the most basic understanding of lore, and are unusually capable of spinning your meager knowledge into creative tales. Unfortunately, creative as they may be spun, they are always easily unraveled. This post is no exception. #TitanMasterRace

Cleary, you haven't read very many Ashen Conflux posts or talked with very many members. This post is an exception, not the rule.

  • I am a... lower member of Ashen. Don't expect me to make anything, extravagant. However, I feel compelled to make far better lore/theory posts than those thinking it's funny to spam recycled stuff like, "the Traveler's evil bc fuck it". Now, lack of creativity? Maybe, my creativity lies elsewhere. If my post can be easily "unraveled", then please, I'd like to see what you have... As long as it's a constructive debate with reasoning. This, after all, is based on a random legendary in the April Update.

  • be fair, I said that Ashen Conflux members are unusually capable of spinning their basic knowledge of lore into creative tales. This is complimenting your creativity, not bashing you for your lack of. I never even implied you had a lack of creativity, only the opposite. As far as this particular post and it's unraveling, you make many assumptions on minimum lore and base even more assumptions on them. For example, you claim this sword was a cleaver belonging to a knight who was killed by Oryx's weapon (which I assume you mean to be the Dreadnought super cannon of doom) during the battle with the Reef, and later picked up by Variks. OK, why would a Knight die to the cannon, when it was shot at the Awoken? If you said the Queen's Harbingers, this could be plausible, but you didn't. Then you suggest that this sword was left floating in space to be picked up by Variks later. Why would Oryx leave a sword that is more powerful than his own left floating for scavengers? And that brings me to my next point. You assume that because Dreadfang is more worn than Willbreaker, that means it is more powerful than Willbreaker, and therfore Oryx. But Oryx's contract with the worm gods makes such a thing impossible; if anything grows more powerful than Oryx, the worm will abandon him, and he will die. Clearly, Oryx did not die, until the very moment at the end of King's Fall, when we force the worm out. And that's not the only thing that proves that Dreadfang and it's wielder are not stronger than Willbreaker and Oryx. Oryx's power of Taking is largely within his own sword. The very fact the Dreadfang is Taken proves that it came into contact with Oryx, but that the wielder either voluntarily gave himself for Taking (like some knights did), or he challenged Oryx for his throne, and lost. I honestly doubt the latter, since Alak Hul also challenged and lost, but was thrown in prison, rather than Taken. On the other hand, Eris says in that strike "Now he awaits the 'mercy' of the Hive", with mercy in quotation marks. Maybe mercy means Taking, and your mystery knight was thrown in prison and later Taken, for losing to Oryx, and Oryx died before he could Take Alak Hul for committing the same crime. In both situations, your mystery knight is not stronger than Oryx or Willbreaker. Another thing, you wildly assume that because Dreadfang is a sword, it was wielded by a knight. You then assume that because it is a knight, it must be associated with Xivu Arath, Oryx's war lusting sibling. From what I remember, Xivu is elsewhere in the universe conquering a different foe, due to his/her own contract with the worm gods. Xivu knows that Oryx is the single most powerful entity in the known universe. His very existence in the face of the worm proves that. If Xivu were somehow able to defeat The Taken King, there'd be no one else he could prove his strength against. With that, Xivus worm would have nothing to consume, and would abandon him. Xivu would wait until there was no one else left to conquer before he seriously turned against Oryx. Which raises another point. Assuming that Xivu wants to end his existence thousands of years earlier than his time, why would he send a mysterious knight to challenge Oryx? Why not challenge Oryx himself, since Xivu can't die outside his throne world, and is undoubtedly more powerful than his minion knight who would no doubt be Taken and used against Xivu later? #TitanMasterRace

  • It's incredibly easy to think of things like these. It is not easy to write it out in a way for someone who has only a basic understanding and is also biased against counter arguments to understand, especially in few words. #TitanMasterRace

If all of them are clever, why don't they show it? Types like Saladin, Zavala, Shaxx can't just be the three that prove all Titans aren't brutes.
edit-typo
• You petty titans... going around insulting people on the forums. My clan mate made a stretch, but that's okay. Respect Paradox, he makes some of the greatest fan fictions! Golden gun to bubble = popped bubble and dead Titan. Nightstalker to Striker = grounded and virtually dead Titan. Arc blade to sun breaker = 2quick4u and dead Titan. (Actually, Nightstalker could have been used for all of them, seeing the nature of the tether 0_0) #HunterMasterRace
You feeling lucky, PUNK?
• Actually, I am feeling lucky. I'd easily prove that I am the superior PvP player, with or without my Titan. Hell, a simple stat check would prove that, but 1v1s are so much better at proving the point. Unfortunately, you are on Playstation, whilst I am on Xbox. And while I may regard you as a scrub for thinking Hunters are master race, I can respect you for standing up for your clan mate. #TitanMasterRace
