Jumper layout is AMAZING!

I switched from green thumb to jumper yesterday and ive already seen the benefits to it and am almost fully comfortable with it. If anyone has any tips its appreciated. I always had a problem orienting myself in air when in a cqc engagement or trying to jump juke out of it and i always got outplayed in those scenarios. Ive only practiced in pve so far until i build that muscle memory 100%. But I really beleive this is gonna improve my approaches and give me a better picture of whats going on beneath me or near me. It makes your movement so fluid and not choppy. Im still getting used to super being x now and working both bumpers to jump and aim in the air. Im so glad i switched and i really recommend anyone at least give it a good try. Do you use jumper or have you tried and what do you think of it. Has it helped your awareness in pvp?

  • You just now did this? I've played that layout since halo 3. I configured my borderlands controls to match it because I love it so much lol.

      • I was advised to either switch to bumper or use an elite controller (got one for Xmas 2015) if I wanted to significantly improve in PvP. My main controller had a trigger issue, so I was going to try the elite. Then I found that it wouldn't work with my battery charger..... Saw a Youtube about cutting off a tab on the battery cover, considered just using rechargeables (standard AA, not game controller rechargeables), but for now, the elite is back in its box......

          • Recently, I played story with jumper to get used to it, it is really good for keeping agile in crucible and i reallly enjoyed it but when shit got serious, I somehow choked an reverted to my default controls. I will come back to it someday :p

            • I switched to bumper jumper when titanfall came out, as movement in that game is so essential. But it was the best decision by far! On the few occasions I played destiny it felt great using jumper. Movement aiming felt so much more fluid and precise. I'm definitely not going back now Just wish BF1 would have the option to use that layout too, I keep throwing grenades at small walls trying to jump over them hahah

            • I've been using Bumper Jumper since before Destiny, it's the free alternative to a modded controller and offers almost the same results. Glad to see you made the switch.

              • Just swtiched to Jumper as well! I LOVE IT. Also, if you go to settings from your Ps4 menu (im sure its similar for Xbox), accessibility, button layouts. You can change all button assignments as you please. So im running a hybrid between jumper and puppeteer. So only difference from standard jumper is r3 to slide, and O(B) for grenade, R1 (Rb) is melee. It is so smooth and convenient, and really gives you extra control over movement. And mobility is everything in this game
