I had an idea if Bungie doesn't want to bring up the old raids CE and VOG
I really have no understanding of how much work would go into bringing up the old raids and their gear and removing the elements from primaries and what not but the old raids were really fun even tho they had their flaws (especially CE).
I was looking at Eris the other day and thought wow she is such a lazy hoe. She really isn't good for anything relevant but can we change that? My suggestion is simple. If Bungie doesn't wish to bring up the old raids and gear I think they should reset Crota's Bane Rep and give us another person for VOG and have an Vex's bane Rep as well. We can treat the raids like factions.
Completing the normal and hard mode raids would give us a good chunk of faction rep.
Dismantling Ascendant materials would give us a small amount of rep (for the raid they are from)
Dismantling legacy gear/weapons we get from the raid would give us a decent amount of rep (100-200)
Dismantling legacy raid exotics Vex Mytho and Necrocasum should give us about (400-600) rep or more
When we level each faction we would get a choice like we do with normal factions and get a random drop of armor or weapons at current light level from the raid with a 5-10 chance to drop a new quest line for a 400 light level buffed Vex Mytho or Necrocasum after level 5.
I know its probably more work to do it this way than to actually bring up the old raids but I just thought if for some reason they couldn't bring them up this would be at least doable. Let me know what you guys think. :D

2 RepliesHonestly bungie has already stretched this game out to long as it is. They lost a lot of there player base that no matter what they do isn't coming back. Not to mention they came up with all that bs about primary elemental weapons and got rid of them. So my guess is if they bring old raids forward there not gonna keep the primary elemental weapons, which is gonna be a huge disappointment. But there gonna have to do something if they plan on keeping this game going until destiny 2.

It wouldn't take A LOT of work since it's really just changing value data. That being said, shut up. You can still do the old raids all you want, you can get pretty much any roll from VoG through regular gear now. DESTINY IS DEAD, WAIT 6-9 MONTHS!!!

Sadly, reskinned raids aren't going to save this game like everyone thinks it will. Such a small percentage of people actually raid in Destiny, if they didn't care about raiding now, they might not later.

Good idea. I think the only thing to really bring new players back would be a good Destiny 2. Just my opinion.

Ok, so right now as it stands there is no incentive for a veteran to go back and do old raids. I feel sorry for the new guys that just bought the game. There aren't very many veterans willing to go waste 3 hrs teaching the raids for junk rewards. I would like to see a reward like an arcane system that could be added to armor. Invisibility lasting longer, Armor buff, etc...I would go back for arcane buffs like those. I don't know, just a thought.

I'd like to see them bring it all up to max light and make primaries exotic. No real changes necessary.

There are no good guns to try and get now ,besides Matador, but back when you had to actually do the raids ( VOG and CE) over and over again to get the gun you wanted(Fatebringer <3, Vision of Confluence, Black Hammer, Word of Crota, Hunger of Crota, Vex Mythoclast, ect. ), because it was actually good was much more rewarding. Now when you get a raid weapon its not much different from one you can buy at the tower, (because it doesn't have that special of perks), and then infuse it with a 400 rare you got from Archons forge, which you didn't have to even try hard to get. It seems like being at 400 light is all that matters, not having good gear/weapons, well and if you have the Matador. All I'm saying is that doing the raid isn't as important as it used to be, and the gear you can get really isn't worth doing the raid for. Also Kings Fall is completely irrelevant because none of the weapons are worth getting anymore, unlike with VOG or CE where the were weapons worth grinding for. This is a grindy game and its not as fun when there is nothing to grind for.

There is nothing more boring than watching one or two Warlocks snipe ads at the Bridge. Even worse if they had no Icebreaker, and judging by the current Icebreaker drop rate... No thanks! I actually fell asleep one time. only one Warlock with no Icebreaker. Apparently he was more than 15 minutes trying to gun down the ads and Ogres.
