Destiny's PvP is Competing With Latency, Every Match
EVERY match in Destiny there are players with latency advantage and there are players with latency disadvantage. This is why Destiny's PvP is not a serious FPS. Maybe it is serious for some players, but it should not be. Because of what i just said.

1 ReplyI agree with your comment. It is very notable, and within nearly every game you can detect the switching of P2P units, because the performane changes so much. You might be totally loosing in the beginning but suddenly you turn into a PVP god and everythong is working! Or vice-a-verca.

Network: light speed, which means 'time to travel through circuits' some being millions of miles total distance travelled. Plus, time list to switching and logic programming. Bungie: timing consoles across millions of miles of connections, such that, perceived Latency (lag) provides all players the 'same or similar' experience. Reality: not possible, someone(s) will lag, turn red, become immortal. Solution: ban player that goes red! It's their fault. Community, cheer Bungie for 'swift disciplinary action'! Bungie: sell Silver, they will buy anything!!!!

Difference between an awesome match and a struggle match depends on how amazing my connection is to everyone else. I used to think I just get quick scoped before I even noticed a player, I know better now...no I have to make the decision if it was an amazing player or latency giving me a disadvantage.

2 RepliesYes this is the very reason I don't take the crucible seriously. I use double shotgun with a titan wearing twilight garrison or dunemarchers to deplete the map of special ammo whenever it spawns so people start using primaries I don't do it to gain any advantage and I usually have a negative k/d. The damage referee makes this game unfair it targets everyone no matter your connection. This game has gotten worse in connections and playability because a bunch of people left the crucible. They did it because of the change to matchmaking. Casuals don't like being used for k/d farming. I hope the elitists are happy now lol. Some people predicted this.

6 RepliesIt's called host advantage. It's in every p2p game. In gears of war when we figured who host was we would always kill them first and then send dumb messages pointing out they are host.

Once I see this, I leave the game and try another p2p connection match to see if I can get a fair game to play. Although most players will still buy D2 due to not knowing what they maybe missing or hype from all the YouTube streamers.
