Exotic sword quest

I went to a friends house to help him w/ the exotic sword quest. So infused the sword to 341 attack but we didn't get the the sword reforged quest. Could someone tell me why this happens?

You get the quest when you go down in the dreadnuaght and get pass the three knights and after kill the other knight wiith the sword you should any to get the quest for
