Match after match! Constant red bar in pvp and in any game mode.

I have been experiencing constant error codes and battleye crashes since Tuesday august 24th. This update and new season has tremendously increased my issues with playing destiny 2. I can hardly get through a control match with getting anteater error or battleye crashes. In the mix every game I’m a low bar connection but if I play another game it is perfectly fine.

lol here.
-
I have fios 50/50 and I literally lose to red bars and IB congestion is horrendous
-
Idk about everyone else but I hardline my connection with 20 down 5 up have everything else that uses internet turned off or not connected to the wifi and have no issues with getting green bars. All depends on like someone else said your ping rate time of day and internet provider. I have a private line running for my internet so my neighbor's internet usage doesn't interfere as much with me. I use to work for time warner cable before they changed over to charter and If you're using wifi trying adjusting channel settings for your modem if you can't hardline could also be the modem. Call your service provider see what your ping rate is if you don't know how to run it yourself if it's below 80 that's your issue right there also minimum for good quality gaming is like 5 down 2 up so boasting about 300 Mbps just tells me you're over paying for internet.
-
I have the highest setup for my router, with a wired connection. Yet, I always red-bar. But I never lag in Titanfall 2. The difference, DEDICATED SERVERS.
I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.
The question is... What is your ping? Your speed has barely anything to with your connection in PvP (since it's P2P). Check your ping rate. I don't have the best internet, but I rarely have any issues in PvP.

Edited by Eisen Jäger: 1/17/2017 9:48:48 PMI'm pretty much running shitass DSL and rarely ever redbar. I'm talking copper wire, 100kbps speeds.
-
300 mbps still happens occasionally

Define great internet
-
I usually have a strong green bar....until I'm "randomly" selected as host for a crucible match. Depending on how parasitic the lobby is, I have dropped to low yellow.
-
For some reason I get consistent Green bar on my main Xbox account, but red bar on my PS4 account. Might just be the system but I'm not sure.
-
You should more concerned about your ping and packet loss.

Edited by gamz: 1/16/2017 11:42:05 PMDownload and upload don't matter as much as ping, location to other players as well. I have 100 mbps up and around 10 down, but sometimes I'll be matched with someone in South America or Eastern Europe and everyone has red bars.
-
I have great internet and regularly come up against red bar players and have red bar players in my team. The only time I have a red bar myself is when I play with other people. If I matchmake solo, I always have a green bar.
-
I usually get decent connections. My pings usually at 50. (I live in a family of 4 with a teenage sister ok?)
-
There is good internet and then there is better internet. Most ISPs have different tiers and obviously the faster you go the more it costs. If given a choice chose the ISP that provides a fibre optic solution. ie through the phone line as opposed to an ISP that offers internet via cable. I've gone from slow wifi to fast hard wired and I will admit it makes a difference. The game is way better with good internet. Yeah there's red bar players in many of my games still but that's just because their internet isn't good. What's Bungie supposed to do? Banning them will make my gaming experience much better BUT further the decline of a dwindling player base.
-
Same. I have like 200 down and 20 up with next to no ping. Wth
-
Im at 85 down and 13-15 up with 10-20 ping and i still have laggy games its destiny and its shitty servers/netcode
-
<25 Ms ping and no others users, internet setup correctly, static, dmz, upnp, all things possible and Ethernet cat6 Still laggggggggg
-
I had that happen to me a couple times cuz I was being put into European and Australian Servers when I live in Wisconsin 😐

Edited by Batz: 1/17/2017 3:40:18 AMNow, you can't do anything about other players red bars - that's the system not being able to find compatible matches - usually as an outcome of people forming fireteams with players from all across the planet - or those players simply having shitty connections. If you on the other hand red bar there are only two options: * You are living in Alaska or some other remote place where you can't get a match in close proximity to your location - meaning that the pings will be over the top. Even then it shouldnt be bad enough to red bar you on a regular basis. * Your personal network isnt set up correctly or being bottlenecked by other people on the network. Basically, you're the problem here.
-
I rarely have that problem, but when I do, it's cause I'm trying to play Runescape and Destiny at the same time.
-
the PVP connection is peer to peer, so your connection is to the host of the game, not Bungie
-
If you want Bungie to 'hear' people best to spell it properly, should be able to amend the title ☺
-
Make sure your router is configured properly.
