The, seemingly, inept Sandbox Dev Team caused a plethora of unwanted and unnecessary nerfs in PVE(!!)
During HoW i played both raids, on both characters every week.
Played NF every week, both chars.
Heroics every week, both chars
PoE nearly every week w both chars.
Hell, i even played pvp back then for fun.
Removing etheric light was a major hit to the fun factor in pve. Look back and be honest: did you really use LESS diverse loadouts pre TTK as opposed to post TTK?? No, we used more variety pre TTK because it was not only useful for whatever activity with whatever burn, but it was also just plain more FUN to switch up guns.
So y1 gear is dead, i'm ok with that now even though i disagree^^^, so how's about UN-NERFING everything in pve? I know pvp players seem to hate buffs in pve for reasons that STILL escape me, but maybe Bungie can be the adult and game designer here. Not let the people saying this or that is "OP".
I hope that they do the most obvious thing in destiny 2: Separate pvp/pve stats 100%. They can do this, we've seen it done before, it's just a matter of not being lazy or artificially extending the grind by making guns extra weak in pve. So, i'm actually still optimistic about the sequel. I think they'll make pvp players as happy as they can be as they will never really be content, while also making pve players feel rewarded for grinding and getting better guns/gear.
