Is it just me or is the stock not completely parallel with the barrel? Now don't get me wrong, it's a great drawing. I'm not denying that. It just looks a little off to me.

Might be the angle at which he took the photo

Yeah I saw it too, it's something with the paper I think. Could be the drawing though.

Nonetheless it's still a great drawing. An easy fix would be to use a longer straight edge like a yard stick or something and lightly pencil in a reference point across the page so it'll be easier to line up the front and back of your drawings. You may already know that lol but a little constructive criticism never hurts. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, I'm cool with the criticism. I did use a wooden ruler with metal edges, and I'm fairly certain it's either the paper or my camera, but I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses. Do you have any advice on coloring? It's the one thinking I'm lagging behind on. I can't keep the color consistent.

Have you ever tried crosshatching?

Edited by LoganSB4: 1/11/2017 11:39:54 PMYeah. I'm talking about actual coloring though, with colored pencils. Does it work well with colored pencils? I did crosshatching for this picture actually, but I ended up smudging it.

I don't really work with colors a lot. Mainly just pencil sketches. But I'd assume that crosshatching and smudging with colored pencils would work just as good.
