Chapter 10 Year: 1990 Day: October 22nd Day after Chapter 1: 3 Days Time of Day: 5:30 Location: The Reef Characters: Mara Sov, James, Osiris, Variks, and Petra Main idea: * James is trying to convince Mara to go with him to his place * Osiris chuckles and watches James’s attempt * Petra walks to Mara and says that it wouldn’t be a bad idea considering that Osiris or James pose no threat to them * Mara disagrees and thinks it could be a trap * Mara has Osirs do a memory scan on James * Osiris confirms that it was a idea from his mom * Mara sighs * Petra then starts to walk out and says that she’s going with them for dinner * Variks follows Petra * Mara groans as she decides to go with them * James sits in the pilot seat, but Mara pushes him out and sits down. * James grumbles to himself and sits in the back with Variks and Petra leaving Osiris with Mara * Mara flies the ship to earth * Osiris holds Mara’s hand and tells her that she shouldn’t be worried. * Mara sighs and asks how much longer he has * Osiris confirms that he has 3 weeks till self-exile that may last for a few years * Mara sighs and says that James isn't ready to be on his own * Osiris chuckles and says that he will find a way * Mara looks straight ahead and says that it would be better if he'd stop their relationship * Osiris takes a deep breath and asks if it has to do with the exile * Mara nods * Osiris says that they hardly saw each other in the first place and that he can use conduits to contact her * Mara shakes her head and tell him that its not the same * Osiris then faces forward and stops talking
