I can live without the 3oC, and I haven't been experiencing any issues that I've noticed, EXCEPT for the fact that I can't join people on the same network. I bought your game and all of the DLC for my buddy, and we cant even play it together. bungie pls

My brother and I have this same issue. The fix is to both power down you platform and restart at the same time. That's what we do and it works every time.

I had to rest my router and enable the "allow users to disconnect from the internet" under the UpNP settings before the wife and I could join a FT together, still have to rest the router once a months or so when it's being finicky.

Are you absolutely certain this is not a router configuration / network issue? I've been lugging my PS4 around for local Destiny co-op action a lot, and when it didn't work it was always a router issue.
