Hello,
The artifact removes any abilities directly tied to a super.

Ya know... No one ever responded to my request for a more detailed explanation. Even the Bungie reps acted like I it's self explanatory
-
Edited by YourVillain: 1/3/2017 6:53:57 PMCould you please explain the connection with keen scout and supers when you have a moment? Specifically why it only affects mark target because I seriously can't figure it out.
-
Thanks ... That sucks. Never really thought of it as a super modifier. Oh well
-
Edited by RedPhoenix HD: 1/3/2017 5:54:11 PMIf Keen Sight only activates when a super is full (or maybe not full?) then that would likely explain it. I don't play Hunter so don't see it the tie-in directly. If the special markers also include markings for Guardians that have powered up/full supers (some perks work that way) then that may also be the super tie-in. Just spit-balling. There has to be a tie-in to the super somehow. They mention this perk specifically, so it has an obvious link somewhere.

Edited by YourVillain: 1/3/2017 10:28:16 PMDid you get my reply? I'm just curious what everyone thinks. Seems like an unintended glitch to me
-
Nope, none of the above. It has about as much connection to supers as shoulder charge or touch of flame. Mark works anytime you damage someone, super or not. I'm gonna go with what the guy below said and say it's a glitch and it's easier to say working as intended than it is to just fix it.

What? Keen Scout is a subclass perk, it has nothing to do with the super at all.
-
Actually the more I think about it the more it doesn't add up. Are they saying everything in that row is tied to your super. If I put it on blade dancer will it remove the invisible perk or if I put it on sun singer will it remove touch of flame? Heck, enhanced radar still works and that's part of the same perk as mark target. Yea, I don't understand
-
Unfortunately the Keen Scout perk traits are directly tied to a super.
This Artifact also removes any traits that are directly tied to a super, such as the Keen Scout perk on the Hunter Nightstalker Subclass.
-
Actually, it's getting even more difficult to understand the more I think about it. Juggernaut and shoulder charge are on that same row on a striker Titan. Does that artifact remove those also or does it ONLY effect Nightstalker for some reason. I'm not trying to be an ass but I don't get it.
-
Wait, that's not right... If that whole row is tied to the super shade step wouldn't work...Which is it does. Yea, that doesn't really make sense. It's not directed at you, you're just the messenger but it removing keen scout (heck it's not even all of keen scout because the enhanced radar also works) that is very inconsistent.
-
You're right, invisibility wouldn't work either, neither would shadestep or numerous other perks that do still work. It sounds like "It's tied to the super" should be translated as "Given the way we coded it like morons and tied an unrelated perk to the super we can't disable the super and leave keen scout active, and since we have no intention of spending time fixing it since D2 is taking all the real effort we're going to call it a feature!"
-
Edited by YourVillain: 1/4/2017 9:22:35 PMSo Bungie posted that non sense about keen scout perk being tied to the super. Yet to explain how... The rest of that perk is unaffected, just mark target... Or how the rest of the perks in that skill tree aren't affected... Or if any other subclasses perks that aren't DIRECTLY super related perks are affected... Yea, we are gluttons for punishment
-
You know why I know it's a glitch? Because Because I'm playing now and it works sometimes
-
Edited by YourVillain: 1/3/2017 3:37:48 PMThats EXACTLY what I was thinking. I figured it was an unintended glitch but now that they are pretending it was intentional it's just annoying me. Based on that shoulder charge and juggernaut wouldn't work on a striker Titan. I haven't tried yet but my guess is I can still use them with that artifact on.
-
Tied to the super means like, for example with defender: bastion, untouchable, gift of the void, illuminated, ward of dawn, arm or/blessing/weapons of light. Any perk in the top of the rightmost column is tied to the super. In the case of the Titan (I'm using Titan as an example because I'm currently logged in as a Titan): untouchable, simmering flames, unstoppable.
-
Any other thoughts on why the other perks aren't affected? I'm not trolling. I'm honestly looking for answers and after just saying it is I point out the inconsistency and.... Nothing
-
Edited by YourVillain: 1/3/2017 5:44:10 PMActually I went back and looked at the other subclasses. None of the perks on sunsinger in the last row have nothing to do with the super. There is no reason why keen scout is the only non super related perk affected.
-
Edited by YourVillain: 1/3/2017 4:08:23 PMYea, I don't think that's true. I bet chain of woe still works on gunslinger and touch of flame on sunsinger I meant to say. Heck, it's not even consistent on the keen scout perk itself. EVERYTHING else BUT mark target still works. Seems like more of a glitch than a intended part of the artifact
