Am i being punished for not being hard lined into my router ?
Lets put it this way, i have to have the Xbox one upstairs as I have guests round for a while, now usually when these guests come round with their radios and such (this interference only seems to happen when they are here and no one believes me ungrateful idiots), for some unknown reason I start to lag more, recently i was getting a lot of party stabilisation which wouldn't allow me to go anywhere in the destiny universe, now that i have got past that, i fixed my connection my nat is open (still wireless until the guests go home), but now i cant even play 10 minutes of destiny without a canary error @bungie WTF man is this what I get for not being hard lined in ?

1 ReplyWifi is very susceptible to interference from other sources, even something like a microwave can disrupt your signal. A wired connection is direct and won't be disrupted unless the wire is tampered with. I highly suggest buying an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection.

im aware that wired is much better and i agree, but i cant use my xbox downstairs until the 4th when my guests leave to go back up to scotland, and swat i would change it to a static ip but with it being a virgin media router its kinda difficult. to try and do such a thing, although one thing i will be trying tonight is disabling the 2.4ghz setting on the router as my xbox uses the 5.0ghz setting, Maybe by turning off one setting it will increase the strength of the other ? and then i can turn it back on in the morning.

Any of them hooking into your router with iphone? I'm serious. My roomie uses trash apple products and they would wreck wifi for anything non-apple. Try using a static ip address instead of dhcp. Might help.
