[spoiler]Imo titanfall is way more of a childs game. It was built and released by EA to steal cod's infamously young audience. It had a pretty cliche iron giant story and fast gameplay that's more about reaction time than thinking [/spoiler]

I think it's great that people like it. More video games for everybody but honestly, when my then 5 year old put it on for the first time I just didn't get it and I still don't. I grew up with Voltron, GI Joe, the original Transformers, Robotech, & Loony Toons.

Lion King is also a children's movie. The difference is it was made by people with high standards for quality and had songs written by Elton John and voice acting by the likes of James Earl ( yes Darth -blam!-ing Vader) Jones. As for Titanfall, they took a twitch style FPS and added seamless and well balanced wall running/ mobility. Then, for shits and giggles they dropped 30 ft tall mechs right in the middle of all that ( also smooth and seamless). Once inside a Titan, the entire game changes. It's no longer fast reflexes that win Titan battles. It's situational awareness, map knowledge, tactics. At least if you are any good in a a Titan

You really love buzzwords [i]seamless[/i] [i]balanced [/i] You're like the target audience for shit perfume ads. The cartoon was based off the games that of which like Harry Potter grow with the audience. The most recent one can get a bit adult with jokes as well as going into lore that gets dark. Like some kid gets lost in a forest and dies alone and now a pokemon goes around mimicking its screams. Titanfall is a twitch shooter and like all twitch shooters it's about who has the better reaction and gun for the situation, obviously that plays into map knowledge but that's just a staple of every game since golden eye.

You are like the target audience for shit children's cartoons and Bronys. The games were based off the cartoon and once again the example you use for a comparison is a superior story and overall franchise. It's like comparing a BMW (HP) to Toyota Corolla (Pokémon). Also, the HP books had dark undertones from the very first chapters. I remember my now 23 year old son watching Pokémon when it first came out. It was a silly and poorly drawn cartoon show that was directed at kids. I might feel differently if I was younger and had grown up with Pokémon. Instead I was the parent who wondered how kids could like that shit. Still do
