Thanks for the update Cosmo! I love seeing a little peak into the lives of Bungie development, very cool. If I could provide any feedback I would simply say please keep the changes minimal, look at the data and run the numbers and then make more small changes if necessary. I just hope that weapons and abilities are not killed and become unusable due to a drastic nerf. That being said, below are some of my ideas for changes that I think would be helpful to look at: 1. Buff the weapon architects that are used the least amount, but just a tiny bit. As a player, it seems Auto Rifles and Scouts are not used very often. I hate Auto Rifles so I am okay with that one ;) but it should be addressed. Some help for those weapons would be great. 2. Slightly nerf the overwhelmingly popular weapons. Clever Dragon and Matador 64 seem to be the two most utilized in the games I play. I believe a slight decrease in range for the CD as well as some decrease in flinch would go a long way. All shotguns should probably receive a small decrease in range, but the Matador 64 seems the most powerful. 3. Update subclasses a bit. • Tone down the Stormcaller's melee range, but just a touch. This is my main class currently and there is a reason, that melee is ridiculous (it is super fun to play as, but terrible to play against :). • Can we get a little bit more of an indication visibly into the Striker's abilities on screen while playing? There are a lot of time I have killed, or have been killed, by a Lightning Grenade that didn't look like it should connect. Same with Fist of Havoc, I have been killed many times from a range that seems impossible based upon how far away they were and where the aftermath is activating. More of a visual indication of where the damage is coming from would be nice. • Turn up the melee range a tiny bit for Hunters and Titans. Whether it is the charged version or the neutral version it feels like those melees are like trying to use T-Rex arms. Especially Hunter, they have a knife! Shouldn't their melee have more range? Again, just a slight tweak, like 2-3% (I am hoping that is a tiny number). • Modify the Skip Grenades a bit. If they are going to track so aggressively, maybe tone down their damage. Or, change the tracking to be weaker. The fact a Bladedancer without visibility to the target can throw a grenade at the ground way in front of an enemy that is behind cover and still have the grenades track and possibly one hit kill is crazy strong. Chasing an enemy away from an engagement is such a valuable tool. 4. Update special weapons. I don't really know what should be done here, but it would be nice to see a bit of a decrease in the strength. Maybe decrease the auto-aim on sniper rifles and decrease the shotgun range slightly. Can we get some buff for sidearms ;) ? 5. Not much of a weapon balance, but falls in the category of Sandbox testing would be testing different locations of heavy and capture point during Trials of Osiris. It would be nice to see the locations that appear unbalanced to be modified slightly. 6. Sticking with Trials of Osiris, it would be great if we could rejoin our fireteam if we happen to get booted for any reason. If we join a round in progress we should spawn in dead with a revive timer. The ability to rejoin would be huge in combating network issues that cause players to get knocked out of the game and create 2v3 situations. Here are some fun ideas I have had in general about what I would like to see out of the Crucible. 1. Custom rules to private matches. 2. True capture the flag type of format. 3. Rift mode where the spark drops and can be picked up. Also, maybe double sparks. 4. Swat style playlist, no shields. 5. No abilities playlist. Again, I would love to see a cadence where there are smaller weapon balances released more often. Perhaps once a month. Make a change, gather feedback, make another change, etc. As an avid player and a huge fan of the game, I would love to see it work this way instead of a balance patch once a quarter. Thanks for being great Bungie! I love this game and this community! You guys get too harshly criticized a lot of the time and that is sad. Stay classy Cosmo/Deej!
