Can't stay connected to crucible

I keep getting disconnected. And not only disconnected but removed from the server entirely and brought to the main title screen. I get error code: weasel every time. And you know why that's really stupid? Because code: Weasel is a wireless connection issue (thank you forums for educating me)... And my One is cabled directly to the modem!! So there shouldn't be a wireless network issue at all!!!! And it's only on crucible/PvP matches. Two iron banner matches in a row I've played today (and this isn't the first day it's done this). This second match did eventually remove me from the game (of which I was on the winning team... COME ON!!) BUT before that it put me back in only it tested me like a new arrival. Erased all my match points, rest my cool-downs and everything; like I had just joined the game halfway through the match. What's going on?!? I pay a lot for 60mgb internet to.

  • Weasel is not just for WiFi - it is related to Centipede and Baboon which all have to do with lost data packets and latency issues. If you are on the actual website on a PC and not your phone, you will be able to click the error in your comments and see the actual articles for it. It is suggested (for all those errors) to first change from WiFi to Network cable to try and alleviate the issue, since WiFi has its own built-in issues native to the technology. This is because the majority of people experiencing this tend to be on WiFi, Cellular Data, or Satellite and those are all no good for this game. Start Destiny and run a detailed network report on the console while you are in the Tower and see what numbers it gives you ... also your NAT type. That is usually a good starting point. as a note, crucible (and all MP events in this game) are P2P which means you are as much reliant on everyone else's connection as your own and your connection has to be able to support all of them connecting to you as well.
