Blink Players can be easy to track at the start of a game just from the sound alone. Just make Blink a bit more quiet and I think it'd be an ability with a good reason to be used instead of double jump.
EDIT: It seems I stand corrected. Probably should raise my KD before saying anything next time.

It's because blink is based upon the mechanic of guardians farting in a way that propels them through space and time. That kind of fart makes noise.
-
I think that because of the nature of Blink, the sound indication is actually really important and justified. You're invisible for some frames, so the audio cues must compensate the lack of visual cues.
-
In this case you would also want titan's shoulder charge be silenced. Stealthy titans would fight warlocks and hunters blinking silently to defend that city.

It can be heard across the map for a reason ...if u could silent blink then there's no point in invisibility sense ur movements can easily be lost by an opponent....it would be a broken mechanic and shotgunners can always get a death from above without the opponent knowing except the fact the radar would show a mark ...thepoint of the sound is tokeep u in check from running around without being contested. And to add tactical movement to the game

If you make hammers CLANG less loud
-
I don't see why it needs to have a lower audio cue. I don't see a problem with it at all. I mean blink is you tearing a hole in and out of the dimension from one location to another ... I don't think that would be silent at all. Then again until we can rip holes through dimensions in the real world we can only assume and never really know.
-
I feel like this would be useless time spent on something

Try being a Sunbreaker.

They just need to fix blink. The sound and recovery debuff is more than enough to allow year 1 blink

Edited by magburner: 12/9/2016 10:32:42 AMNot just blink. Titans who use the shoulder charge, are also very easy to track. Using my Astros, I can track the movement of a titan across a map, just by listening to the noise they make, as they should charge fresh air. If only they knew...

Stop I disagree we'll see you in court.
-
I disagree, i use blink to cover super activation

So you basically want the Blast Suppressor perk from Black Ops 3. It sounds nice in theory.
-
quieter?
-
No you get invincibility frames

-
Blink and you'll miss it
