People often are unconvinced that scientific theories are real, but really only focus on evolution. Is the theory of plate tectonics equally as controversial?
edit: Yes. I. The Earth.

32 RepliesHow is this considered theory? We have mapping of it ffs. Max you fail at trolling give it up

2 RepliesYes. Just look at the continents. They're all able to fit together. Except India. I think I heard in a documentary that India kind of formed in with the rest of Asia and part of it was sucked underground. Like a blanket over a blanket.

1 ReplyThere are people who don't believe in tectonic plates????
-
I believe in micro tectonics. Macro is still obviously a theory.
-
I don't believe in plate tectonics.
-
It is actually impossible to fight this claim as false because Plate Tectonics is the only way an island chain like the Hawaiian Islands can exist over a singular hot spot

Holy -blam!-, some of you are grade A autists.

6 RepliesNo I believe the earth is flat and hollow

21 RepliesIf evolution is real, explain how the platypus and the giraffe are alive. The giraffe wpuld have gone extinct before it could evolve the blood valve (what is that thing called?) that limits the bloodflow to it's brain, and the platypus defies all logic as the only mamal that lays eggs and has a poisonous claw.

3 RepliesDo you believe in the sitting on hands theory?
-
What's with you making the "Do you believe " posts and then making the polls have nothing to do with belief?
-
6 RepliesI'm amazed by the amount of people on here who hold these kinds of beliefs. Then again, most supported Trump and Brexit too.
-
5 RepliesWait... Is it controversial?! Isn't this just a given?!
-
Plates are all you need to know as to why the earth is flat

Great way to shake up the evolution argument. Creationists that acknowledge tectonics are debunking some of their own arguments against evolution, while the ones who disagree can't provide sufficient evidence against it. 10/10

5 RepliesWhile I think plate tectonics has some merit, I dont think it lends credence to the idea of a spherical earth. As I have described in detail elsewhere, the upwards motion of the disk of the Flat Earth though space, plus the obligate tendency of all unsupported objects to fall downwards through space, creates the effects of what spherists call "gravity". The Flat earth likely has three layers: the Proximal (upper) crust, the molten layer, and the distal (lower) crust. Due to the upwards force exerted by upwards motion, plus the downwards tendency of the earth to fall through space, the molten layer gets compressed between the proximal and distal crust layers, causing the tectonic and volcanic activity we observe.

Plate tectonics r fake Tuh earth is just 7 land masses they dunt move at all #satire

No it's all a sham

15 RepliesI mean, of course the earth shifts on a micro level... This causes earthquakes and whatnot. But to say that entire continents used to be halfway across the earth??? LOL. How could this happen in just a few thousand years? You said it yourself, Max. Plate Tectonics is a THEORY. Putting "scientific" in front of it doesn't change the fact that it's still a theory.

Lots of people dont believe facts...

2 RepliesHow can plate tectonics be a scientific theory if geology isn't a real science 🤔

6 RepliesEdited by Fourteen 88: 12/8/2016 1:31:48 AMNo, I am not the earth and I do not have numerous moving plates

3 RepliesYou'd have to be another level of stupid to not believe in them.
