Edited by Viss Pall: 12/10/2016 7:32:59 PMIf we say buff primary guns and we dont tell how, bungie will just go to activision: "we want to make D1 CoD just give us ur TTKs" And every gunfight will not be on aim, hit these headshots, they will be who shots first, and the cruciable king will be Han Solo, duhh. Ok that was just a joke, I just want to say, please say what primary guns need a buff and what buff. I agree SOME primary guns need buffs(slow fireing HC, autos)

Go play Titan fall 2. Ttk is super fast. And it's annoying af. Some primaries need balancing but the Ttk on others is good
-
Buff clever dragon
-
What is this "primary" you speak of?
-
Bungie will never do that! Primaries require skill to use. Many people in destiny can not play for shit when it comes to primaries. All they can do is abuse the shit out of special weapons.
-
the true problem now is the special weapon meta. eighter they need to nerf the special ammo boxes even more, or nerf the entire class. i realy had fun with my Thorn in IB this weeek, but playing against shotgunners or fusions is not fun.
-
If primaries are buffed, we need to buff sidearms and fusion rifles with them.
-
Nah as a community we would rather bring back a gun that's not needed instead of asking or begging for what needs to happen.
-
IMO, primary weapons most definitely need a buff in time to kill as well as have some of the inconsistent weapons (Last Word) being fixed so bloom (ghost bullets) are not a thing in the crucible anymore.
-
I disagree. Most weapons kill in under a second anyways. There are a few archetypes that could use slight buffs in damage but, we don't need a .5 or .6 ttk speed. Most players who run shotgun only tend to end up with a even or negative k/d.

And with that you would also have to increase super armour.

Edited by MJVigs: 12/7/2016 3:11:43 PMI believe that the issue lies not in the weapons, but the subclasses. Each titan subclass and exotic armor piece makes shotgunning easier than it should be (juggernaut, force barrier/no backup plans, armemantarium, twilight garrison, titan skating, fantastically powerful and usable supers, etc.). I know most of these have always been around, but never have they been as usable and widespread as they are now. Warlocks have an amazing melee for each subclass, and great supers that are extremely usable. The melee is very easy to land with its range, even without amplitude on a stormcaller. Pair that with fatastic grenades and a good horizontal movement ability (in the right hands), and you have a very powerful close quarters build. I really don't want to make hunters seem 'different' here, since i know I'll get hate for it, but whatever. The only thing i can say that is an issue is the inability to run away from most skip grenades (even with max agility and a MIDA). Besides that though, the only thing i can say to back up my original argument is that shadestep can be very annoying. Even then, it's very easy to misuse it. How many hunters do you see using a shotgun and truly kicking butt? I'm not saying there are none, but they are much easier to deal with than their titan and warlock counterparts. If primaries are buffed, imagine all the times to kill. Right now weapons are killing in under a second (you know exactly which ones...). Think, is that truly the issue? Lackluster primaries? I don't think so. What kills you when a titan goes mach 1 across the map with a shield? Not the titan or the shotgun, but his speed and his shield. What kills you when a warlock has forced you into cqc? Not his shotgun or his health, but his spectacular melee with life stealing, range buff, and overshield abilities. I know there will be different perspectives with proof to back them up, but just please try to be a civilized human being when trying to rebuttal my argument.

I doubt it will happen since very week 14, 789 of these posts shows up but I will add my .02$ BUFF THE DAMN PRIMARIES!

Bungie is promoting primary use by the IB bounty: primary-1 point; special-2 points; heavy-5 POINTS??? A joke

Call of duty: Destiny edition GTFOH. Fusions are fine other than bolt disappearing on death. Sidearms are fine, snipers are in a good spot. Shotguns by them selves are fine, it's all this parkour shit with shotties that is without risk and in some cases, undefeatable. Do some primary types need buffs? Sure, autos for example. You can slide 50ft with a shotty and have perfect accuracy, you can fly through the air at 75mph with a shield and not take any damage until it's too late.

I'll firmly disagree, actually. I might be an exception in that I have never been much of a CoD-type shooter player; I either go full-twitch like Unreal or more on the Destiny / Halo end. Mainly because I feel like the CoD-type shooters are primarily based on who sees who first, and who lands first shots. Kills are so fast and easy that a lot of the time it seems to me that people are running and then simply croak for little or no reason. That being said, I don't want Destiny to ever approach that. Play CoD for CoD, and leave the other genres alone. Having things like CD and Doctrine, not to mention 82 impact hand cannons, Mida-types and Hawsaw-types all give a sub-second kill time, provided you can actually aim and shoot well. I would quit PvP in a heartbeat if primaries started killing in 0.4-0.6 seconds, because then it's turned into a game type I really dislike and warrioring would be the -only- way to go. Pass, that's crap, go play another game for that. I think the bigger issue is the ability to run with a OHK special all game, every game is making primaries seem weak. Do something like make armor ammo perks not affect PvP and push the special spawn back by 45 seconds, and I promise you primaries will seem a lot more powerful right away.
