We need a fix!

Please, please fix the bug that stops people joining groups locally. My brother and I both live in the same house and cannot join the same fireteam. It's really frustrating. Why is it that Bungie are so bad at replying to an issue that is stopping many gamers from enjoying the game?

  • The local fireteam problem is not only a Bungie and Destiny problem, but it affects a few other games as well. Part of the problem lies in the way that the current gaming systems acquire their port for network traffic from the routers. They always try to grab the same port despite having UPNP enabled which means that multiple consoles try to grab the same port therefore essentially creating a bottleneck. Destiny being P2P hosted, is very sensitive to network issues therefore there are problems. You can try this and this has helped EVERY single person I have done it with ... Turn off both consoles and do hard reboots of all your network equipment and consoles. Turn on the first console and log onto your account Turn on the second console and log onto that account Go to your network settings in both consoles, disconnect from the internet Connect both of the consoles back to the internet in the network settings On console one, run a network test (forces a uPNP hunt) On console two, run a network test (forces a uPNP hunt) Start Destiny on both consoles Join your mutual fireteam.
