All opinions are important even ones that are based of false knowledge and information.
Bad opinions prevent us from just accepting things as arbitrary fact and remind us the argument behind something.
A decent example is if you look at the flat earthers. it's such a successful troll because often people don't know why we know the earth is round (besides pictures) and just look stupid because they can't even argue against an obviously false statement.

I agree. People berate religious individuals for just accepting things on faith without thinking for themselves. Conversely, we're expected to accept things like climate change when we're told by a teacher or "expert" on TV and people who question it are treated as heretics. We should encourage people to question their world, not just accept things at face value. "The science is settled," is becoming the new "It's God's will." A non-answer used to shut up people who challenge you.

Behind every fact is supporting evidence. I disagree that we need ignorant opinions to appreciate the factual ones.

If you remove the 'wrong' opinions you lose any need for supporting evidence because there is no need to ever bring them up. Eventually, due to a lack of necessity, the supporting evidence will be forgotten and we will just have a 'fact' that few people really know why it's true. This is problematic because we can be wrong, things change, etc
