Thats a resonable stance as it pretains to matters of objectivity like science and the natural world but such a stance on subjective matters like religion and worldview is dangerously arrogant and dogmatic as the "facts" of such matters is often open to interpretation.

My stance is that there is no evidence for any of the world's religions, but you can hold your view if it is kept private and does not impede the advancement of knowledge and science.

"If it is kept private and does not impede the advancement of knowledge and science." Thats exactly what i am talking about, what impedes the advancement of knowledge and science or progress or any other lofty greater good is dangerously arbitrary. No one should have to keep there views private, if they have bad or ignorant views let them be heard and scrutinized in the free market place of ideas. On religion im not religious myself but you cant discount someones opinion simply because they are religious. Its very easy for atheists and secularists to write off all religion as nothing more than superstition but to do so is shortsighted for religion influences culture and culture influences everything else. Furthermore as of right now there's still so much mystery left in our universe so much left unanswered that if others wish to fill in the gaps with God I can't altogether in good conscience reject that as a legitimate view even though I disagree with it the burden of proof falls on both sides including my own. God and by extension religion has a concept cannot be definitively proven or disproven therefore any views on such are entirely subjective.

Well we can agree to disagree then.
