I hope Bungie gives these "no-SBMM" whiners what they want, just to see if they want what they'll get. I wager a lot of them won't!
Since I'm on PS3 and therefore unpatchable, I doubt I'll be affected.

They want to avoid waiting in orbit for needlessly excessive amounts of time because of limited player pools and more reasonable latency between them and their opponents. Fair complaints.

A lot of the complaints on both sides are fair. Pure CBMM will alienate some players (especially new ones who don't enjoy endless humiliation). Including SBMM is alienating others. I don't envy Bungie in having to deal with this. However, after what they pulled in Festival of the Lost, I can't say I feel overly sorry for them.

Edited by Swiftlock: 11/23/2016 9:51:24 PMSBMM would be fine if Destiny was actually geared to be a seriously competitive game. I'm talking coherent balance, less emphasis on godly perk rolls dominating the meta, more considerate map design, better ranking systems, etc. Thing is, Destiny is about as competitive as a shuffleboard match against my grandmother, and if you try to shoehorn in a matchmaking system that tries to treat the game as something that it's not, you get this glut of annoying problems that do more harm than good.

Edited by FattGods: 11/23/2016 9:20:28 PMMost of us that want sbmm gone are the ones that played in year 1.. When cbmm was used. We know exactly what we're asking for. However in regards to OP yea trials doesn't use sbmm. lol
