CD Projekt Red deserve every award they get/ got. Blood & Wine is simply amazing and CD continues to be a beacon of hope for gamers and an example to other studios/ publishers ( looking at you Activision. You have surpassed EA and amazingly have become even worse. )
Glad to see critics choice went to Titanfall 2. Hope gamers wake up and realize they are missing something special.
My only disappointment is Inside not winning something. Firewatch is good but Inside was an experience.
Congrats to DS3 and it's fans. It's not my cup of tea but I get why people like it and the monster design is incredible.

I honestly couldn't believe Inside wasn't on the list. That game was simply amazing and really was a thrill to play.
-
It got several nominations for best indie and best game design. Losing to The Witcher for game design I understand but not best indie. Like I said, Firewatch was really good but Inside was a masterpiece.
-
Furi still should've won.
-
-
I understand you're attempting to demean the game because you've never head of it, but it's still a phenomenal game. No clue how walking simulator won.
-
No demeaning, is Furi the actual title?

Here's a review

I haven't played Wild Hunt, but I hear it's amazing. Makes me wonder if Bethesda's time as arguably the best RPG studio is up. I hope TESVI proves me wrong.
-
Bethesda's time as best RPG developer never existed.
-
Nice opinion. Who would you say was better last decade? BioWare? Square?
-
Retro or Nintendo. Maybe From if you include ARPGs.
-
Fair enough for Pokémon. Not sure if Zelda is technically an RPG. Retro's only done Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong, hasn't it?
-
Metroid Prime alone is enough.
-
It's not an RPG.
-
No more an RPG than a modern Bethesda game
-
Ooh, edgy.
-
Ooh, being honest.
-
Not really. The games are structurally very different. Is there any non-combat interactions with NPCs in Prime? Any actual stats to change?
-
If that's all it takes to be considered an RPG then Bethesda sure as hell isn't the best RPG developer of the decade.
-
Not at all. I was just offering a few examples.
-
It most definitely is (from a critical standpoint at least). They need to make 6 more hardcore. It'll scare away some inexperienced rpg players but it'll be worth it for the reputation.
-
I liked Skyrim's accessibility. It's my favourite RPG ever. My biggest problem with Fallout 4 (and Fallout in general) is the setting is too depressing for my tastes. Barren irradiated wastes? Gimme a fantastical paradise any day.
-
I agree but I'm honestly surprised you haven't played The Witcher 3 yet. I'm not joking when I say the Blood & Wine DLC was better form both a story perspective and a solid gameplay as well. The game is hands down the game of the Generation so far. Considering the base game came out a year and a half ago that is saying something

I tried the first and my old laptop struggled. I tried the second. Twice. First time I was in a new setup, probably not a good time to try a new RPG. Second time I found it too dense.

Yes, I have heard that 2 is a little bit harder to grasp but 3 is streamlined so that RPG noobs like me can make it through but there is definitely enough meat ( & difficulty settings) for the more experienced RPGrs. In the end it was an amazing story with side missions that were as thoughtful as the main campaign. It's a story that feels as epic as LOTR or any other epic story.
