I'm liberal, and while I'm sad he won, he won't be the worst president ever. But, he will have a big problem: living up to his supporters expectations. He won't be able to pass laws like the Muslim ban or a wall on the border. There's enough bipartisan support against those bills, so they'll never make it through. Even if they do, the Supreme Court will likely say the bills are unconstitutional.

Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline. If you've actually listened to his speeches, you will notice a few things that the media has made sound different. The "muslim ban" was actually him stating he would temporarily close the borders to muslims until we have a better security for detecting muslim extremists and terrorists. As far as the wall goes, he has already been to Mexico and discussed with the Mexican president about getting support for more security along the border and help from their country, and I believe it will be tighter security and more immigration restrictions between Mexico and the US.

I expect a record number of executive orders.

Debatable. Republicans own everything now so...

I hope you're right.

Edited by Hulkksmash: 11/10/2016 7:21:08 PMI think it will become an "figurative" wall around the US. This meaning harder ways and more restrictions getting in to the country illegally. Harsher penalties when caught and actually getting booted out. Not give an id card and told to vote like it is now.

i dont think a border wall is unconstitutional. how it is funded is what i wonder.
-
And that there, is part of the problem. Do you really think he's going to try to "ban Muslims"?
-
It's what some his supporters want.
-
Of course some do. The thing is, no one party has a monopoly on stupid. I asked you the question though. If you truly believe he's going to try that, you might as well go sit in the stupid room with the people who want to build a wall.

Well cross that bridge when we come to it

Yeah. Another problem I have is with conservative and liberal justices. I wish our Supreme Court was unbiased, but that'll never happen.
