When I started out in destiny I had mainly used shotguns for PvP and snipers for PvE depending on the situation but it seemed like every time a dlc finally dropped I'd have a week or two to adapt to crucible or I'd get completely destroyed. From shotguns I went to snipers then snipers to side arms then side arms to a situational mix of snipers and shottys. I only ever really use the shotty if I'm playing supremacy or if the map I'm playing on is just bad for sniping all together. I'm curious about the choices you guys make for your special weapons.
