No. Poison does 2 damage 4x per shot, for a total 8 additional damage per shot, putting its damage significantly higher than every other gun in its archetype. Poison also tracks and cancels shield regen, giving you a massive advantage in any 1v1 gunfight if you're smart and poke in and out of cover, giving yourself the chance to regen health while your opponent slowly loses health and is a sitting duck. Plus final round is an excellent perk as well. It's already head and shoulders above the rest of the guns in its archetype, and DoT is meant to cancel your shield regen and track, not be a main damage-dealer. Thorn is in a fine place, do we really want HoW all over again? Especially with so many primaries nerfed, Thorn would be king again.
