Just kiss already you two.

It was apart of the "strategy" why did Bungie add a buff to stop it?
-
Probably because people were whining too much because they couldn't break the trap. If they just removed the respawn lockout timer it would be easier I think.
-
You're self-righteous. If an enemy is covering all options of entry and you can't get through that, that isn't a "Strategy" it's called unbalanced and unfair. If the company address it, it's not supposed to be in the game or it wasn't thought up until it actually started happening.

Ever heard of the Anaconda plan? Pretty much the same concept with you controlling their spawn and choking them from getting the spark and then you win the game by running said spark through their lines.

They added a resist buff to prevent this from happening. Therefore, they didn't want it. And even more they added Mercy so the game isn't just a single team getting demolished

And if you'd read what I said earlier they added it to pander to whiners who can't easily break the trap.
And if you'd read what I said earlier they added it to pander to whiners who can't easily break the trap.
If you honestly think that balancing something is "pandering to whiners" then you're delusional. By that logic nerfing Thorn was "pandering to whiners". Making it so Bladedancer wasn't a broken mess in the crucible was "pandering to whiners". When in fact both of those things were so downright dumb at the time when you combined the two you were basically unstoppable

My Red Death ensured more often than not I'd beat Thorn's ass so I certainly didn't have a problem with it unlike the majority of people on here who got that gun turned into a dog turd.
My Red Death ensured more often than not I'd beat Thorn's ass so I certainly didn't have a problem with it unlike the majority of people on here who got that gun turned into a dog turd.
Red Death was a Joke then and it's even more of a Joke now. It gave you health regen but it stopped the second a Tick came in. You could kill the Thorn user but they have the Ability to snipe you and apply 21 damage from a single shot. I would know through experience. Look at my kills with Red Death. By the time your mini 1v1 is done with a thorn user you're either left with half HP or a tiny sliver.

You're still winning the engagement which couldn't be said for a lot of guns vs Thorn in it's glory days.
-
Thorn is just a bitch weapon any ways. Plain simple.
You're still winning the engagement which couldn't be said for a lot of guns vs Thorn in it's glory days.
I wouldn't call have half HP a winning engagement because by the time you're done the ticks are still probably going on and (to match with the time) a TLW or Hawkmoon would pick you off easily. I do get your standpoint.
