What is the Prison of Elders ?
How can it hold the vex ? They can Leap through time. How can it hold the taken ? They can vanish through space . Or is it just a game mode I'm supposed to play and not think about ?
Perhaps I wouldn't think about it, if it wasn't a critical point in HoWs. The Queen wanting Skolas to rot in the prison made it a real place and not just a game mode.

I forget what item it is, but the flavor text in one addresses the Taken. For reasons unknown, they remain there of their own volition. ..As to the Vex, who the hell knows? We only have the barest grasp on even what they physically are, let alone how their decision making processes work. Trying to guess at their motives is high conjecture to such an extent as to be basically pointless.
