I learned that I do not, probably cannot, and probably will not ever know everything, and everything I think I do know could very well be completely wrong. It left me humble and open minded, realizing that the possibilities are endless.

  • if you know both extremes, and accept that nothing can surpass the extreme, then you actually do know all the possible solutions

  •
if you know both extremes, and accept that nothing can surpass the extreme, then you actually do know all the possible solutions
It isn't that I can't know anything, but rather I can't know everything; however, even that which I think I know, could be completely wrong, for extremes are perceived, just as reality itself is perceived, and anything perceived may not be real or constant, just as anything not perceived may not exist.

  • if all our senses align to say that something is round, and mathematics also prove its round, and it reacts with the world as a round object would, then is it not round? we can call it whatever, it can be described however, but if the facts all show its real, then it must be real. the only flaw with this is when none of our senses can detect something, and mathematics barely prove it, at which point it may or may not be real, as i do understand we are beings comprised of the knowledge available on earth in the milky way system. For all intensive purposes, if we can determine 2 opposite extremes of a thing, whether its an object, energy, or force, then we know all possibilities of said thing.

Senses, the world, mathematics - impossible to know if any of it exists outside of my own perception, because how have I ever known these things to exist when all I have ever done is perceive them? Only if we assume reality, as we perceive it, is real and constant, can we accept that anything we perceive within it is true.

  • understandable. color's a great example of this, we see whats reflected, not the actual color (wavelengths) the object is comprised of. Fair enough, believing what we sense is real is just as difficult to actually prove as it is to prove a god. lots of philosophy, not much irrefutable evidence
