Exotic shard famine

Anyone else having the same issue? Edit: For some odd reason Truth seems to give out 2 shards for a net gain of 1. Don't know if this is a glitch or not but it works! Thanks for the feedback!:) P.S. Make sure you have plenty of glimmer!

    Started RoI with somewhere between 70 and 80 shards. Now I have 10ish. Also, somwhere along the way, I had to do the trick someone else layed out on these forums back in year 2 to have 6 or 7 of those 10ish shards: - Buy heavy synth from Gunsmith - Active heavy telemetry and change to a class item that has rocket launcher exp buff - Buy Truth from kiosk for 2500 glimmer and 1 exotic shard - Equip Truth and use 6 motes of light to fully level it up (BUT don't upgrade any nodes!!! Upgrading nodes costs resources/glimmer.) - Break down Truth into 2 exotic shards, some glimmer, and some weapons parts ...If you aren't familiar with this method, it basically costs you 2500 glimmer and 6 motes of light to get 1 exotic shard, plus the cost of the heavy synth (EDIT: [b]telemetry[/b], [u]not[/u] [b]synth[/b]). You also have to have one exotic shard to start. I recommend doing this method more than once in a row to lower the impact of the heavy synth (e.g. share the heavy synth between multiple rounds of making shards). P. S. You don't have to buy Truth specifically... nor does it have to be a exotic rocket launcher specifically. You could do the same thing with a heavy machine gun, like Super Good Advice or Thunderlord. Just be sure to use the correct class item to increase exp and limit the motes of light needed to level up the heavy weapon.
