Edit: These changes will go live with tomorrow's patch. The patch will be available at 9:30am PST.
There has been some great feedback about the Silver Dust Economy. Here is a preview of what is coming.
Some changes are coming to Eververse and you'll see these begin to roll out in small steps, beginning with an upcoming patch.
We are currently working on several changes to the Silver Dust economy to improve the player experience. We want to ensure that players who are completing Rise of Iron’s pinnacle challenges feel rewarded for their success. With this patch Trials, Wrath of the Machine, and Iron Lord Armor Ornaments will no longer require Silver Dust to apply. The Silver Dust requirement for applying Exotic Weapon Ornaments will remain, as the Silver Dust required for application is provided by the Radiant Treasure box.
Year 1 and Year 2 Iron Banner armor found in Dusty Iron Engrams and on activity completion of Iron Banner matches was incorrectly dismantling into Legendary Marks. With the patch, these items, when dismantled, will now yield 1 Silver Dust.
These changes are being made to promote a positive player experience as well as accommodate future changes and balances to the Eververse and Silver Dust economy which we will reveal in our winter release.
Oh wow, so you are willing to fix anything related to you making more money, but not the truckload of things players have been begging to be fixed? You want to make money off the microtransactions, fine. Drop the RNG crap, I for 1 will buy cosmetics, if they appeal to me. Next, start putting half that money towards more servers. Then you can get a team dedicated to actually fixing some of the real problems in this game, which we obviously love! You do this, you will make more money. Then ya'll can go back to your cocaine & stripper parties.
Somebody get their dealer on the phone & have him cut them off until they get things done!
-
So when it comes to making changes that involve you getting money, it's done quick. When the community has been pleading for you to do an actual job and sort weapons balancing out, nothing happens. Or when the pvp is saturated with cheaters, you do nothing. Don't try and positively spin your ignorance towards real issues by exaggerating the non existent benefits of silver dust.
-
Oow Cozmo please stop it. I beg you please. Please please pleaseeeeeee, just stop it. Don't act like you care about what we want. All you, your Bungie and imaginary friends care about is earning money for your boss and thats it. If you really listen to our feedback you would have changed so many other things instead of this bullsh*t silverdust that nobody cares about. Maybe the 10 years old spiritbloom farmers fall for this, but trust me 95% of the community doesnt fall for this bullsh*t story where you try to make us believe that you care about what we want. All you care about is money money money.

Edited by RavenousLD3341: 10/28/2016 12:36:46 PMHow about some changes to Eververse RNG BS? I've never bought silver, because I'm not a sucker... but man, i just watched teft waste $50 and not get the 1 thing he was looking for. Man. It was painful to watch someone just throw away $50, and not even get the stuff they were actually trying to buy. Seriously what the hell is going on over there? There's only 2 ways to make me, and quite possibly the rest of the community, feel better about this mess. 1. People that buy this crap, pick their loot. If you are going to take what is essentially a donation from a devoted fan, you should reward them appropriately. You know how you can preview what is in the package? That can be the screen where you claim your items. How does it usually work? One item from each section? OR 2. You be completely transparent about how much money is generated by Eververse, and exactly where is goes? I shouldn't have to be a -blam!-ing shareholder to get that data. I want spreadsheets and pie charts on this. Updated weekly kind of transparency. Neverwinter lets me hand pick my loot from microtransactions, and i didn't have to spend well over $100 dollars to just play. EDIT: Bump this for no more RNG in eververse

Edited by Dezzie19: 11/8/2016 7:08:43 AMGetting desperate because everybody is leaving and the microtransaction put a lot of players off. Oh and where is the promised extra vault space?
-
Are you increasing skeleton key drop rates because all I read was Bill Clinton is a rapist
-
Ya really should've updated the weapons along with your space fairy dust, cozmo.

Edited by sillly: 11/8/2016 9:05:40 AMI hate being late to the party

Meanwhile my trophy for activating all artifacts still eludes me.
-
Silver who ?
-
Actually excited for Winter update MMMMMMM.
-
Seriously? Silver dust? Who gives a fat flying -blam!- about silver -blam!-ing dust? What about siva offerings drop rates? What about skeleton key drop rates? What about fixing RNG so I actually have a chance to get a decent grasp of malok? -blam!- your silver dust and until you get your shit together, -blam!- your game too.
-
What about that revive trials bounty?
-
Rng on eververse purchases is gambling. This is impossible to deny.
-
Can we please have a balance patch. I'm tired of everyone uses shotguns. A buff to underused exotics, a range buff to thorn and hawkmoon, a buff to unused weapon archetypes. A change to the sunsinger skill tree, a buff to pulse, thermite, the second gunslinger one, firebolt, spike and flux grenades.
-
Well if that's the case refund all our silver/silver dust that we purchased for ROI. This is a pathetic attempt to cover their ass and bottom line. Fix what we said needs fixing and there won't be a problem Bungie.
-
You can get back on my good side by bringing back elemental primaries
-
Cool, I guess.
-
....and I'm supposed to care about this "feature enhancement" because why??? No, seriously...why??
-
Yeeey, you finally figured out that need of SD to apply Trials and Raid Ornaments is moronic move. Way to go Bungie!

Edited by Powerath: 11/16/2016 3:32:42 AMThank you for the update! My vault is going to be clear of all these Iron Banner pieces.
-
And more vault space tomorrow?!???!
-
Are they gonna fix sigil of the youngwolf emblem?
-
Hey Cosmo! When you reference the silver dust coming from dismantling year one and year two iron banner armour found in dusty iron engrams does that mean you guys will be actually adding year two armour (the iron companion set from TTK) to the loot pool for the iron engrams in this patch? As it stands only Iron Regalia and Iron Breed will decrypt from those engrams and I would love the chance to get some of the iron companion stuff too! Wasted a lot of silver dust before I realised that set wasn't even in the loot pool :(

Edited by SmashvilleViking: 11/8/2016 5:49:54 AMSo, do I get a refund on the SD that I used on my IL armor? No? Oh well, it was fun while it lasted Edit: My whole hunter set is Ornamented. Just wondering
