Upcoming changes to Silver Dust go live 11/8/2016

There has been some great feedback about the Silver Dust Economy. Here is a preview of what is coming.

We want to ensure that players who are completing Rise of Iron’s pinnacle challenges feel rewarded for their success. With this patch Trials, Wrath of the Machine, and Iron Lord Armor Ornaments will no longer require Silver Dust to apply. The Silver Dust requirement for applying Exotic Weapon Ornaments will remain, as the Silver Dust required for application is provided by the Radiant Treasure box.
Year 1 and Year 2 Iron Banner armor found in Dusty Iron Engrams and on activity completion of Iron Banner matches was incorrectly dismantling into Legendary Marks. With the patch, these items, when dismantled, will now yield 1 Silver Dust.
These changes are being made to promote a positive player experience as well as accommodate future changes and balances to the Eververse and Silver Dust economy which we will reveal in our winter release.[/quote]

How about more purchase options to use the silver dust, ie Xur sells ten ornamanents every Friday. Also a use for Hadium Flakes and Moldering Shards would be great. Possibly exchange at the Speaker for motes. Definitely given up on Flaming Wolf Head, Devil Ghost and Ghost Ghost, ridiculous drop rates. Never again for any RNG drops!!!! Total rip off. Willing to pay for guaranteed product only from now on!!!!

5 RepliesUse dedicated servers for PvP... Especially trials.... My friend runs an identifier and we had 2 attempts made against us last night trying to ddos us in trials.... The only way to fix it would be to run dedicated servers.... I can name and shame both teams that tried to do it.... But if I did you would probably remove my post as bungie doesn't like naming and shaming.... Who in this forum would like me to name and shame them ???

Maybe if you guys spent as much time fixing the actual game as you do jerking around with Silver purchases, your forums wouldn't look like you're running a F2P cash grab on shit servers. You can't push a balance patch more than once a year but you can adjust Silver every other month? Vendors have the same gear for sale all year. If they accepted Silver I bet we'd see that stock rotate every week. The fact that purchases made with Silver are RNG based doesn't seem like a problem? Unscrupulous is the only word that comes to mind when I think of Bungie these days. It's a -blam!-ing shame that they went from game innovators to game imitators. Konami would be so proud.

As much as you people overhype, advertise, and lie about everything or put it behind a paywall I have 0 hype and 0 hope for Destiny 2 if this continues on into the next game. Just gotta wonder what kind of cool features you will put behind the paywall next or what else you will change that the players love or what other promised features you will lie about or break your promise on next.

1 ReplyBest change Bungie can make would be to get rid of Silver Dust entirely, it's a useless currency that was added into the game that already has reconciled numerous other "useless currencies". Silver dusts only purpose was to get people to be forced into purchasing packages, dismantling duplicate ornaments from weapons, to dawn the gear that was showcased, and in reality would have taken months to unlock.
