[spoiler]This is another short post, thus I will release Ch. 19 as well, soon.[/spoiler] The Shattered Suns had already regrouped and were fighting the Taken when I arrived. I snuck to the Court of Oryx while everyone fought. Explosions rang out, echoing in the cavern walls. I saw something when I reached the Court of Oryx-- two knights fighting, one Taken, the other, Shattered Sun. It was Goliath, and Goliath's evil twin fighting! "Is that... Thalnok?" Colt asked. I stretched my neck out and squinted, "I think it is..." The helmet looked like Thalnok's. "Hey, Thal!!" Colt yelled. The Taken knight pushed back the Shattered Sun, looked to us, and held up a finger-- he flipped us off. Colt gave a hearty laugh, "Yup! That's Thalnok!" I face-palmed. "Alan?!" I heard behind me. I slowly turned around to see Wolf Pack angrily walking to me. "What the h*** are you doing here?!!" Dakota asked as he shoved my shoulder. "Hey, hey! Stop, I got a plan... I didn't want y'all getting involved, but now that you are here... don't ask many questions. Not here, not now..." I tried to reassure them. "What happened here? Just a couple of months ago, this place was disgusting! Now, it's disgusting and on fire..." James looked around the room. "There is a faction of Hive known as the Shattered Suns... They like fire... And explosions," I explained. "These are my kind of Hive," James said with a laugh as he punched the palm of his hand. Phantom joined us as we talked. Morin quickly pulled his Hammer of Sol from his belt loop. Everyone else raised their weapons. Phantom stood still beside me, "Let's not do this..." I said as I stood between the Guardian and Taken. "Why shouldn't we put a bullet in his head?" James asked. "One, we all know that is easier said than done. Two, if we get the Dreadnought for the Taken, Phantom will leave us alone and even defend us from future threats," I backed up beside Phantom. He glanced at Wolf Pack, waiting for their response. Phantom returned to the fight behind us. Dakota signaled for Wolf Pack to follow him into the fray. Kourtney stopped me, "Alan, why didn't you just tell us that you were doing this?" "I didn't want y'all getting involved, Kourtney. I didn't want you getting hurt..." Kourtney got in a defensive stance and placed a hand on her hip. "One, I can handle myself--" "I know, I know... I'm just overprotective of those I love." "Well, you better come help, because I am about to join the fray!" Kourtney ran past me, firing her pulse rifle into the crowd of Taken and Hive. Of course, I followed. "My subjects--" Phantom drclared. "-- The Knight could be of use to us as a champion! Distract the enemy and I will Take him as mine!" He shouted. "Phantom, don't!!" I yelled in defiance. "The knight would likely take its own life before give up its will!... If you try to Take it, you'll kill us all!!!" Phantom did not listen. I turned to Wolf Pack, "These new knights explode when killed, or close to death! If that giant son of a b**** dies, we're all f***ed!" I yelled. "We need to stop the Ta--" Morin instantly raised his Invective and pumped lead into a Taken vandal standing beside him. I turned back to the fight to see the Shattered Sun champion shove Thalnok back and swing his sword down onto three Taken. The entire Court shook from the impact. I tried to regain balance, then smiled under my helmet. "Light bulb..." I turned to Wolf Pack, who were killing Taken and Shattered Suns alike. "If we can get the knight to break the Court of Oryx, he and Thalnok will fall into the pits of the Dreadnought!" I yelled.
