Can't LAN

I've been trying to get in a fireteam with a friend since rise of iron dropped and I keep getting this "unable to join target player" error. We have both our consoles on the same network, I know this is a known issue. This is really starting to frustrate us because not only do we want to play together, but we both have bounties and quests that require you to be on a fireteam too. I have one wired and one wireless. I've tried everything for a work around and every combination such as: resetting router, resetting Xbox, deactivating my already port forwarded Xbox ports and letting upnp work, changing wired/wireless combo, renaming xbox pretty much everything you can search (that I could understand), joining via Xbox interface instead of destiny's, the press x at the same time thing, and grouping in a different game then switching (which actually worked 3 times, but never again). ALSO this does not happen with ANY other game and NEVER has until this. This is like the 100th time I've posted and EVERY time someone ends up being rude bc it's a problem they specifically don't have. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the gateway Comcast gives you, but I don't understand because EVERY other game works when I LAN.

 • So this is a work around that seems to work 100% of the time. Trust me when I say I have tried EVERYTHING else! 1. Both players load the game and go to the tower. 2. Both player at the same time press the XBOX button and quit the game. 3. Both players at the same time start destiny again and this should generate a 'WEASEL' error. This should usually happen to both players. 4. Close the error and continue to selecting your characters. 5. You should now be able to join the same fireteam team. I know it's a ball ache it this does genuinely work. You can even leave the fireteam after and you will have no issues rejoining. This is a fix for as long as you are online but the next time you play you will have to do this again. Just goes to show that this is truly a bungie issue as to get this to work no changes to any network settings need to happen. Hope this helps.

This is the latest that Bungie has posted for the topic, in terms of troubleshooting. I hope that this helps and keep posted for further updates from the Bungie team.
