The wretched eye needs a bit of a nerf
Priest annihilates you , the ogre keeps you out of cover then you have to dodge shanks while dodging the priest while being chased by the ogre and all this on void burn so the priest instantly kills you
Edit: not sure why people are insulting me while others agree I'm tired of getting the strike and people leaving and the dealing with the ogre and priest combo it's fine without the void burn really all they need to do is make the ogre so you can stun it

1 Reply2-3 tethers and 21 truth rockets takes care of the boss before the ogre even has time to enrage. Deal with it. Next week you'll complain about a different burn. It's all the same, kids whining for easy loot.

Someone else may have said this, but clear your adds, 2 focus on dps boss after you have cleared adds & the third just jumps over the ogre & plays keep away with him. Then rinse & repeat. I usually run nightstalker & distract the ogre. When my friends say their supers are ready, I hit the boss & throw both grens, then go back to pissing off the ogre. Slower with randoms because they are rarely in team chat. I usually save my Ghally for quickly dropping the adds as well while I am jumping over the ogre. If the boss starts trying to shoot me while I am distracting the ogre, I try to go towards a corner where a pillar is at. I keep jumping the ogre & heal. I hope this helps you. I know it might not be the best strategy, but it works well for me.

4 RepliesThe modifiers make the strike harder, but FAR from needing a nerf. The biggest mistake I see people making is their insistence on trying to dps the boss when they should be focusing on taking out the adds. It seems like common sense to me, but apparently it is beyond a large portion of players.

What they should implement is damaging the ogre to stagger or slow his movement shortly like give the ogre a phogoth style crit spot to aim for to cause said stagger.

I like the strike alot but man i swear that ogre has another eye somewhere cuz he knows where i am all the time lol..in fact my team can maintain cover the whole time while ogre is chasing me non stop...leave me alone u big biotch..its pretty funny actually..i dont think ive ever put 1 shot into the boss cuz that ogre.

I'm with you, I hate this strike, I honestly think the priest should deal a bit lass damage and the ogre should go for the player the priest is currently firing at

I have a cheese on that strike. Have one of your teammates die during the second teleport of the boss. The ogre will pound the dead guys ghost and you can do work on the boss. Otherwise take out the shanks fast.

The trick is to take out the shanks ASAP, and stay on the move, popping in and out of cover...I would prioritize recovery over agility, and keep a decent armour stat for this encounter

No it doesn't need a nerf. It's simple. Stay separate . the ogre and boss cannot attack all 3 of you at the same time.

I agree it tough but I say keep it like it is. It's a great practice strike for honing in teamwork and communication. Learning to call out adds right away and saving grenades to help Nuke them down fast so you are able to run a little more freely for cover. Also it's a great strike for bubble titans and invisible able hunters. I find myself switching to blade dancer to be the clutch guy for revives.

The ogre should at least be able to be stunned. Bungie could just give him Golgoroth's HP and it will be impossible to kill it w/out a pool of reclaimed light buff, but will stagger for a few moments after receiving a certain amount of dmg.

And I feel you on the instant death that I think shouldn't happen whatsoever.
