I've pretty much only played bladedancer since I started playing again in roi and I'm also much more of a long ranged player. My setup is skip grenades, better control jump, fast twitch, razor's edge, Quickdraw and hungering blade The perks and abilities on this class definitely lend themselves more to fast paced/close range play so what I do is primarily rely on gunskill at longer ranges with either a sniper or scout rifle and then use the abilities mostly as a counter when people get too close. Skip grenades are also great for flushing people out of cover or finishing them off if you've gotten some damage on them and the Quickdraw perk also makes this arguably the best class to run last word and a sniper on since it helps to offset the painfully slow equip animation on the last word
