Snipers - a nerf too far ... Flinch should be relevant to the weapons range.

Now, I accept the horrendous flinch was to allow for a 'counter' to wandering snipers out in the field. This I'll begrudgingly accept, but if you walk into a snipers path that should be at your peril. Okay, in Destiny everyone has a shield, so you can tank a body shot allowing you a reasonable amount of time to get out of the way/take cover. But now Snipers have zero viability in the current meta anywhere. With player highlights and radar, a sniper 'camping at the back as this nerf encourages' doesn't work since anybody can see your red gamer tag peaking out from cover across the map. All they have to do is just spam one or two bursts of their GraspOfMalok beyond its weapon range and it'll end you. [b]Scope flinch should only be within the base range of the weapon being used to counter a sniper[/b] this way if you're trying to counter a sniper from miles away with your pulse rifle designed for mid-range encounters, you should accept your fate. Scout rifles have higher range and thus they are an effective snipe-counter, but this is not happening. Hand Cannons, Auto Rifles and Pulse Rifles with less range are cross-map countering a sniper even when the damage output is minimal/negligible. On another note, was the origin of this 'Sniper salt' due to Trials? Its one crucible playlist and if you're looking at current playlists eg Supremacy, its just full of running shotgunners making every encounter mundane. I would appreciate somebody explaining me the "skill" required to use a shotgun someday. Not out of my ignorance, but out of curiosity. I don't see the 'fun/reward' of the logic: "is somebody in range? if yes, pull trigger & win" If i get vooped by a fusion, i've done something stupid or he's pre-charged and appropriately applied gaming skill and map awareness to win the encounter. Likewise with sniping, your'e hardscoping applying a degree of map awareness and allowing you to be flanked and taken out due to no radar. I literally see shogunners crouched behind doors doing nothing to push the game forward, just waiting for a free kill. Conversely If some max armour titan is closing in on you with a matador, you can either counter with TLW / maybe a Plan C. Two weapons, thats it. There should be more or allow primaries more TTK in close proximity. The quick scope was a snipers last ditch plan along with training and practice and tons of luck.
