A member of this community, TheKillJoy, made a post recently about an amazing ending for our guardians before Destiny 2. Here is the post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/215437317/0/0
Give this post a read, he deserves it. He inspired me to do this.
I commented on the post, then thought I should make my own post similar to his, but here is my idea...
Tower Assault
Something is attacking the City... Heck, it could be all of the current enemies-- Fallen, Hive, Vex, and Cabal. Your guardian is sent down to the City (finally) to fight off the endless waves of enemies.
As you fight, and inevitably take damage, your armor begins to break-- visor gets cracks. Eventually, you and your team will be overwhelmed by the enemy. When your health bar reaches red (Shields are increased during mission) it will turn to a cutsene... >As a last ditch effort to save your ghost, and potentially yourself, you summon him/her/it then throw said ghost as far as possible. The video cuts to your ghost as he watches your guardian die.
In Destiny 2, it begins with the previous cutsene-- Throw away your ghost, ghost watches you die. It cuts to your ghost flying around the city streets. Smoke still rises and small fires are here and there. Once again, your ghost revives you and you inspect your hands. "Welcome back, pal... The enemy retreated, but the guardians are pushing an attack! We should join them!" He says.
(All in first person) Your guardian puts on his/her/its helmet, then, reaches down and picks up whatever weapon you had in your inventory in Destiny 1. From here, your back in the fight as your preferred guardian, bit there is still potential for new stuff-- worlds, characters, Light, etc.
Keep fighting, Guardians
