Iron Wolves and Iron Lords are the same thing
-
No they aren't. The wolves are actually wolves.

From the Perun grimoire... “Well, well,” said Segoth. “The Iron Wolves.”

Edited by SmashvilleViking: 10/13/2016 7:31:53 PMIron Wolves was the name given to the Iron Lords by the Warlords. It was the name they used to make fun of the Iron Lords

Personally I find that dumb then. I thought it was cool that the actual wolves meant something. I thought they had names and that was their legacy. Now it's just weird that there are wolves there and they randomly decided to fight for the iron lords at the beginning. Sounds to me like the story has been a piecemeal or ripped from game of thrones(Starks and their direwolves.)but what else is new.

I don't know what's going on half of the time... I love this game, but it is confusing at times. Granted, majority of Bungie is working on D2 now. It's not easy to throw a DLC together in a few months

I just wish they would at least map out some sort of story line. Just a bare bones one and then they can embellish off of that. It just sucks thinking one thing and then that's not right, or others who go off on this crazy theory and then that somehow becomes the norm.

But there is a story line: Traveller came, happy time. Hive followed and so did fallen. Latter wanted the traveller back, former to destroy him. Collapse arrived, guardians came Thks to the ghosts. We started shooting Fallon's and hive alike. Vex are hunting for the perfect outcome and trying to force it, so they appear here and there. We shoot them Cabals were scouting space, found everybody , didn't understand what the hell this was all about. They shot first. That's the main line. Then there's all those bits that come and go with little coherence: - exo stranger - Osiris - Toland - dr shim - exo stranger - variks - the queen - her brother - did I mention the exo stranger? - and that weird white bubble in the sky. I think it meant something in vanilla but I forgot. All in all, it all fits perfectly and is crystal clear!

Edited by SmashvilleViking: 10/13/2016 7:46:36 PMI wonder if they may actually have a flashback in D2... A story that starts back in D1, as a flashback, then leads into D2

Edited by AcidRohnin: 10/13/2016 7:52:19 PMA buddy and myself have discussed how they might be pulling a "Lost" on everyone. They have a start and a end. Maybe a few points in between. Then any idea deemed good enough goes in randomally as filler. Doesn't change the beginning, key points or the end but allows anything to come in between.

Other theory: the story is messy on purpose: while we serve as guardian, the past is potentially altered by the vex, creating inconsistencies we somehow notice because we are kind of dead, so time changes affects us differently than normal humans (a change in the past 'replaces' their memories as if it always was there). Or not. Time travel gives me headache.

Could be

No they are actual people. Finnala Used to die and come back, meaning she's a guardian.
-
Doesn't mean she/he was a human. Sepkis died and came back as well. Doesn't mean it's a human.

That's....oh my god. FINNALA ISNT A FALLEN! He was revived with Siva, not light.
