So we know the Trials of Osiris Gear was based off Egyptian Mythology. I have theories on it. [b]1)[/b] In Egyptian Mythology, the first king of the Egypt was Ra, the sun god. [i]Aten[/i] is an aspect of Ra, disk of the sun. Look at the Trials gear of year two. There's an a disk of the sun on it. [b]2)[/b]The second king of Egypt was Osiris, the god of underworld and the afterlife. The Osiris of Destiny is a Warlock obsessed with the Vex. At the end of [i]The Archive[/i] mission, your Ghost calls the Vex Gate Network, "A Vex Underworld." Bam! The reason why we've yet to meet Osiris is because he's in the "Vex Underworld." [b]3)[/b] The Titan helmet of year two is called "The Golden Bull Mask" There are no bulls in Egyptian mythology, but bulls have horns. What else has horns? Rams. The ram-headed god, Khnum, was Ra's aspect in the evening hours. [b]4)[/b] The Trials gear for the Titan in year three is supposed to look like a scarab with the ornament. The god of scarab beetles in Egyptian mythology is Khepri, The Aspect of Ra in the morning hours. [b]5)[/b] The year three Trials gear of the Warlocks can be taken in two ways. One is that it looks something a pharoh would wear. Two is that it sports serpents. There was a prophecy that a servant would eat the sky. It's name is Apophis, god of Chaos [b]5 and 1/2)[/b] Look at the Year Three Trials helmet for the Hunter. It looks like a panther's head. Panthers are related to cats. The cat godess, Bast was the proctector of Ra. She was sent into the Duat to fight Apophis for eternity. Is this why Warlocks and Hunters hate each other? [b]6)[/b] The logo of the Osiris Cult is an eye with a sun disk around it. In Egyptian Mythology, Horus was the son of Osiris. He lost an eye in battle with his uncle, Set, for the Throne, and lost an eye. The Eye of Horus became a symbol of protection. [i]Aten[/i] called the disk of the sun, an aspect of Ra. This has multiple meanings: a. [i]This is the symbolic meaning of Osiris, with the [i]Aten[/i] standing for the Ra, the king before him; and the eye stands for the linage to the throne.[/i] b. [i]That the sun is being protected.[/i] [b]SO WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN!?![/b] [b]I don't know.[/b] i) It could mean that Osiris is trying to tell us that he's in hell because a Vex gate lead him into the middle of the sun. ii) It could be that Osiris saw a vision of the future and is trying to tell us that we're stuck fighting the Darkness for eternity. iii) Osiris is trying to tell us we're cats. iv) That Warlocks and Hunters will fight forever v) One day, Titans will rule the Solar System, with Warlocks trying to rebel.
