Wait a min. Aren't we the darkness? Most of the travelers gifts(ghosts) initiated with the start of the war with the "supposed" darkness on Earth. A guardians gifts only get stronger the more "enemies" we kill and take out. For all we know, we're all fighting for Dart Vader. Sure a guardian is immortal, but his will is taken by ghost the minute he brings his body back to life. Living 400+ years and watching your buds die(again) must take a toll on your hairline. Lord Saladin's hair grayed out exactly like Romilly(Interstellar) did after 21+ years of stressful days. 🤔 hmm..

Edited by The Muzzy98: 10/5/2016 5:14:40 PMNope, we are agents of the Traveler, which in turn is an agent of the Light, which seeks to create a perfect utopia universe. We kill are enemies because they seek to take and destroy all we have ever known. The Darkness, on the other hand, seeks to destroy all life, save for one: the ultimate survival of the fittest. It wants to revert the universe to its original savage state, and all the enemies we fight in the game are influenced by the Darkness, whether directly (such as the Hive, Taken, and to a lesser extent, the Vex), or indirectly (like the Fallen and Cabal). The Ghosts, despite being born from the Traveler, all have their own unique personality. They don't brainwash and control us, they are our companions.

Well maybe...for now. That one Rasputin fragment where it talks about the Traveler direct control being disengaged still makes me wonder.
