In all honesty, there is a very small amount of vault space, there needs to be more.
over the course of the past 2 years, I've collected enough armor and small arms to outfit a rifle company (points to whoever gets the reference) and with year 3 weapons, armor and collectibles, there's just not enough vault space. I'm almost at 90 weapons and im maxed out on armor. I'm thinking that if we had something like 5 times the vault space space that we have now, that everyone would be set for the foreseeable future.
while we're on the topic, vault organization would also be a helpful feature, such as making vault tabs so you can personalize it however you like, for example, putting all of your year one gear in one tab, year two in another and year three in a third.
with Halloween coming around, im sure there's going to be more masks for us to collect, but we won't be able to have them without more vault space, so an increase in vault space could possible net bungie some more money, so there's their incentive to increase vault space.
im sure that people wouldn't really complain about more space and it would make it so people can keep the gear that they love. thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
Edit: commentor ideas
increase player inventory
have storage in your jump ship
halloween mask kiosk
Edit 2: wow, we're still trending, on feedback anyways...

I don't want to keep different arms for different weapon reloads, just put a reload primary/secondary perk on all arms. That way, I can just keep only the arms that I think look cool and have different stats. or, an even better way would be to have a hollow gear item and you purchase the stats you want on it. that way you don't keep the item for the stats, you keep it for how it looks = less stat/perk hoarding of items
